This first floor apartment has a lift next to the front door equipped with interphone. The views mostly look over the port and marina. It include a bedroom with a double bed, two bedsides cabinets a fitted wardrode and a chest of drawers a cot is available for 1 infant under 1 year old A modern shower room with a large shower and a large mirror, fitted cupboard underneath a wash basin. A separate toilet which also stores a washing machine for your convenience. The modern fitted kitchen area has an oven, electric 4 hobs top, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle etc… The dining area and lounge area have a television, a round table, 4 chairs, two seater settee a coffee table etc.. the room has French doors opening onto a large balcony facing south/west with patio table and chairs to eat and enjoy the superb view over Royan’s sandy beach and port.

The apartment is situated in the centre of Royan, walking distance to the local shops, 5 minutes walk to the beach and overlooking the marina which boasts a fishing port and a popular local fish market. Local activities include a swimming pool next to the beach, tennis courts, sailing, windsurfing, jet skis, para gliding, for the real enthusiastic there is local horse riding or would you rather have a relaxed round of golf or a spot of fishing. Royan boasts a popular daily market selling all produce, local cafe and restaurants selling a range of foods from France and many countries. There is great walking to be done with miles and miles of coastal walks leading into smaller towns and villages, lovely views and great sea air. The 'Grande Cote' at La Palmyre has a 5km stretch of golden sands and a famous zoo with over 1500 animals. The great houses of Hennessy, Martell, Remy Martin, Courvoisier are based in the Cognac region and is only an hour away drive , 50km - a must see.

Notes: The lounge area with large windows, has double French doors opening onto the balcony which is approx 10m2 and seats comfortably a table and chairs. There are separate rooms for the bedroom, bathroom and separate toilet which houses the washing machine. There is a fully accessible lift situated next to the front door of the apartment. The apartment is situated in the centre of town and ideal for the outgoing type with plenty of entertainment and things to enjoy and discover.

On arrival, you will be issued with a presentation pack which includes all local events, what to see and do and why you will be pleasantly surprised visiting the region of Roy an. the off season month like September, October gets good hours of sunshine and even December can be a real picture of colours and the big and small beaches are a delight to walk on. we will be very happy to advise you on what to see and where to eat if you wanted to.

The appartment was lovely, clean and very comfortable with all that you would need to enjoy your stay. The location couldn't have been better we were right on the port with the grand plage just a short walk one way and a sheltered cove the same distance the other way. There is a ferry in Royan which takes you to the Medoc penisula which we highly recommend for anyone wanting to do wine tastings which of course we did and really enjoyed. You are spoilt for choice with the restaurants and our favourite was - La Siesta which is literally a stones throw from the appartment. Ideal for any age and Annick and Richard made us very welcome we shall tell all our friends.

The apartment is exactly as described. It is a lovely property in a perfect location with amazing photo opportunities from the balcony. The weather was excellent even though our stay was in October. We found plenty of things to do. Eating out in the evening was not a problem, though be aware that out of the main summer season not all the sea front restaurants are open but there are still plenty to choose from. Lots of shops close by for bread and food and a range of other items, with the market just a short walk away. It would appeal to couples across a range of ages, looking for a relaxing break.

Die Angaben in der Beschreibung waren absolut korrekt; es ist alles vorhanden, was man benötigt (und noch einiges mehr). Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und koorekt. Die Lage ist nahezu perfekt. 3 verschiedene Strände von Royan sind innerhalb von 2-10 min zu Fuß erreichbar. Der große Balkon hat uns besonders gefallen (herrlich zum draußen Frühstücken...). Es war alles sauber und gepflegt (nicht nur die Wohnung, sondern auch das Städtchen). Für 2 Personen (auch ein kleineres Kind, welches im Elternschlafzimmer schlafen kann) geeignet und sehr empfehlenswert.
