Frosinone Province holiday apartment: Atina

We stayed in this brilliant, spacious and clean apartment over the bank holiday in May 09. We had a fantastic time. We wanted a few days to relax and get away from it all and this was the perfect place to go.

We were met by the people who look after the owners aparment who were fantastic throughout the four days and looked after us very well.

We were lucky with the weather which meant we could have a couple of days on the beach at Gaeta (easy 40 minuted drive) and also one day in Rome. We took the train from Cassino to Rome which was handy and very good value.

We ate out in Atina at a nice restaurant and also enjoyed eating in the apartment.

The market in Atina on Monday was great added attraction as we left that afternoon.

We will definately be making a return visit as we enjoyed every little bit of our break here. The views are spectacular!

My husband and I chose to Honeymoon in Italy and this was the perfect location. The appartment was lovely - very spacious, clean and amazing views over the mountains and the valley. There was everything you could possibly need in the appartment The village is great - small enough to get to know the locals and shop/restaurant/bar owners yet with enough choice of restaurants and bars too. There are some fantastic shops and the market on Mondays is a must-see. Using Atina as a base, and with a hire car, we had some great days out - up the mountains and to the coast. There are so many beautiful places to visit in the surrounding area. Overall, a fantastic appartment, location and holiday.

We spent a most enjoyable week in this beautifully appointed and well maintained apartment.It was spacious, clean and very comfortable with all the amenities you would expect and more.On our arrival at the apartment we were met by the owners representatives who took us around the apartment familiarizing us with all the equipment and left us a contact number incase we needed their help in any way. The welcoming pack was fantastic with store cupboard items and refrigerated items more than enough to cover a meal. The bowl of fruit and the fresh flowers were a thoughtful added touch. the apartment was central and in easy walking distance of the cafes, bars and restaurants and we are in our 60s.The 3 restaurants serve excellent Italian cuisine and in 2 of them La Pineta and Il Vigalo the owners speak english. We would certainly recommend the apartment to our frieds and hope to return ourselves as this historic village has so much to offer especially market day every Monday. PS 2 minutes walk from the apartment. Having a car gives you freedom of movement but there is a cheap and reliable bus service to the surrounding towns and villages.
