The Val Di Comino is an undiscovered stunningly beautiful area on the edge of the Abruzzo national park, the most famous nature reserve in Italy. Here you will find an abundance of flora and fauna including the European brown bear, wolves and chamois. The apartment is within a 45 minute drive of the ski resort at Pescaseroli and Rome is approximately 1 hour by train from the nearest station in Cassino. The town and its famous abbey of Monte Cassino is 15 min by car. The beach resorts of Gaeta and Sperlonga are also located within an hours drive. The medieval village of Atina dates back many centuries and has many attractions including a domed church, four restaurants, five café/bars, large market on Mondays and stunning mountain walks. Atina is part of a group of mountain villages in the Val di Comino which include San Donato, Settifratti, and Picinisco. There are 3 open air swimming pools,2 kilometres distance from the appartment and horse riding is available near by.
