A short drive from the Faro airport takes you to to our luxurious apartment complex wonderfully situated right next to the cosmopolitan resort of Vilamoura. Our apartment is a great choice for families, couples or golfers as we are located in a very peaceful neighbourhood near several prestigious golf courses including the Millennium golf course.
The emphasis is on light, space and quality both inside and out, with a wonderfully apointed veranda which overlooks the main feature – a private pool and recreation area.
Golfers can enjoy the nearby greens and clubhouse facilities, while partners and families can relax at the complex or explore Vilamoura, which is a 2 minute level walk from our home. The restaurants and designer shops around the marina invite you to browse and the beach offers safe bathing. Nightlife is nearby, including the Vilamoura casino, if you fancy a little adventure!

Adjacent on our other side, the sleepy town of Quarteira awaits you with its fabulous Promenade (a must during the late evening), Beaches, Live Outdoor Music Concerts, Restaurants, and shopping.
A lot of people that come to the Vilamoura area miss out on the wonderful experience of Quarteira. Its beaches are stunning and there are hidden little boutique shops in the interior streets.
The seaside restaurants and bars are all very quaint but the best food is hidden away in the small streets away from the beach.
The promenade with is picturesque palm trees and shops is a Mecca for entertainers especially at night when large crowds gather so see performers and to sip a cool drink at one of the many spots.
During peak season on weekend nights there are outdoor live music concerts and dancing and carrying-on at the far end of the promenade to all hours of the night.

Amongst the many attractions and facilities there are five different Golf Courses, a large Marina, a Lawn Bowling Club, a Tennis Centre, a Sports Club, a Shooting Club, 5 Star and 4 Star Hotels, Night Clubs, an International Casino, a Cinema, a private Airstrip and an excellent Riding School. Within the centre of Vilamoura there is a preserved Roman Site and Museum of Cerro da Vila providing an interesting glimpse into the past of this interesting area.

If you are a low handicap group, play the Victoria. My favourite is The Old Course. The Millennium has five of the most attractive treelined holes in Portugal. Vila Sol is OK but a bit featureless. Pinhal is delightful but tight. Laguna has LOTS of water. To the east you have Val do Lobo Ocean (terrific) and Royal (the famous par 3 into the wind along the cliff over ravines). Quinta do Lago North (Rio Formosa) is cheaper but inferior to Quinta South (Fantastic). Pinheiros Altos is wet and very pretty. I've never managed to get on San Lorenzo.
All the courses are expensive - just hunt around for the best deals. Happy Golf.
