Calm and relaxation are assured in the picturesque medieval town of Monsegur. This house while fully restored has retained its old fashioned charm creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The interior of the house is well appointed and tastefully decorated with period pieces in keeping with the style of the property. Outside you will find a sunny and secluded courtyard, which is planted with lavender, jasmine and honeysuckle. Your stay can be as restful as you like, yet within a stones throw of restaurants, shops and cafes. It is an ideal base for those who enjoy wine tasting, as the historic hilltop towns of St.Emilion and Duras are but a short drive away.

Monsegur is a beautiful medieval village that has all the services to make for a wonderful holiday.You can relax and enjoy village life or explore the surrounding areas. Monsegur has a night market on Wednesdays throughout the summer months. Friday is market morning in Monsegur but a short drive will take you to surrounding villages that have markets other days of the week. The public swimming pool is a short walk away as well as tennis courts. The village has a Cinema, Post Office, Boulangerie, Bars, Cafes, Restaurants, Banking as well as 2 Supermarkets for self catering. Wireless internet is also available at the cafes.

Escape to an Unspoilt french Village

Monesgur was a lovely village. Friendly people, cafes, shops and local market all in the heart of the wine area of Bordeaux. The house was very comfortable and only a walk from the market Square. We visited Duras and St Emillion, both famous wine growing areas, but only a short drive away. We spent 2 weeks in the middle of September. The weather was perfect, warm and sunny. I would certainly recommend this property to my friends, it was delightful, typically French and tastefully refurbished.

A very charming house !

The house in Monségur is simply perfect : the decoration is wonderful, the courtyard sunny, the bedrooms very comfortable and the village authentic. At a walking distance, you can go to the cinema (a good one), to the swimming pool and to a farmer's market. The countryside and villages around are also absolutely charming !
