Versatile vacation home

This villa is by far the best we've ever been to and
is situated in the train station area just before Jimena de la Frontera. Mercedes and Paco are very nice people who will
not hesitate to offer their help when needed.
There is space enough for 2 families or a big one,
and car parking is absolutely no problem.
The villa in itself is a beautifully renovated country house decorated tastefully throughout in a rustic style with all the mordern amenities needed, even internet!
The pool house is a great addition with it's own kitchen, dining area, toilet/shower room and very comfortable lounging rocking chairs. Just outside the pool house is a BBQ, further dining area, the pool and sun bathing terrace.
The grounds are huge and offer a selection of natural fruits(depending on the season you go), lemons, oranges, mandarins, grenadines, avocados, sharon fruit, figs(white and black), pears, walnuts and californian cherries. You will also
find some rosemary and mint herbs, which can be freshly picked to add to your cooking.
There is a delightful pond next to the walnut tree teeming with fishes, frogs and pink and yellow water lillies, beside which are 5 tree stumps perfect for chilling out while you watch the view
or for those who have an artistic flair, to sketch or paint.
Just by the entrance gate there is a wooden swing hunging from a huge tree.
With only 4 neighbours spaced around it is a fairly quiet and peaceful place with the only sounds being heard coming from the train and neighing of the neighbours beautiful white(and
friendly!) horse.
Jimena de la Frontera is just 10mins away by car, a traditional white village, best experienced by walking through it's narrow picturesque streets then resting at a local bar to have some tapas and drinks.
Even without a car it is a short walk to the bakery/cafe shop, supermarket and restaurants in the Estacion de Jimena(Jimena Station) area.
Gibraltar and the Costa del Sol(Estepona, Marbella etc)
are just 40 mins away and the expansive beach of Tarifa
(very popular for surfing and paragliding) is just 1½
hours away. Nearest cinema, entertainment and shopping
is 30 mins away in the Palmones area just before Ageciras.
Nearest airports are Gibraltar and Malaga.
We only stayed a week but next time we will be staying for 2!
I recommend it to anyone whatever the occasion, great place for
a great time!
Owner's Response: Im glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at the villa and the wonderfull surroundings of the villa. We will gladly welcome you and your familly for your next stay so you can further enjoy The Oaks.
