This fully air conditioned luxury villa,(built area 700 sq.mt) located near the sea in the prestigious Parque Atlantico area of Quinta do Lago, is one of the finest properties to become available for holiday rental in years. The ground floor includes a library equipped with cable TV and home cinema, an elegant dining room and a large, beautifully furnished, lounge with access to an outside lounge and dining terrace and heated swimming pool (12 x 6 mts) plus barbecue. The superb kitchen, with an island unit and breakfast area, is equipped with a range cooker, dishwasher and microwave. There is also a laundry room in the basement with a washing machine and tumble dryer. All of the four bedrooms, one of which is on the ground floor, have cable TV plus their own en-suite bathroom with both bath and separate shower.The master bedroom boasts a double four-poster bed. A spiral staircase from the first floor terrace leads to a roof terrace, which has 360-degree views of the sea and mountains.

Quinta do Lago situated in the finest, most unspoiled, area in the whole of the Algarve, is widely regarded one of Europe’s premier destinations. It is a unique collection of luxury resorts and private villas all within 1800 acres of the Quinta do Lago estate - its spectacular rolling countryside interspersed with pine forest, lush green fairways, fresh and salt water lakes. Miles of non-crowded sandy beach are reached by foot bridge across the adjoining Ria Formosa, a tidal estuary, designated a nature reserve, which is the protected home of many rare migrating birds. Quinta do Lago is famous for its 5 championship golf courses, but there is lots more beside. The large lake offers windsurfing, sailing and fishing and at the beach there is waterskiing, jet ski and paragliding. There are two nature trails along the Ria Formosa nature reserve with a hide for birdwatchers. The Tennis Centre has floodlit courts and professional tuition and there is also a riding centre with escorted ride.

  • Each of the four bedrooms has its own en-suite bathroom with both a bath and separate shower cubicle with a glass door. Designed in different colour themes to compliment each bedroom they are finished in both local stone and marble and all have a ducted air-conditioning/heating system. The bathroom for the ground floor bedroom has a external door leading to the pool area to provide a poolside toilet and shower. There is a fifth social cloakroom off the hall with both a shower and toilet. Hotel style bathroom service with a selection of toiletries and twice weekly towel change is provided. Pool towels are also provided.

  • The villa has four bedrooms, all approximately the same size, one on the ground floor and three on the first floor each with its own en-suite bathroom with bath a separate shower. Each bedroom, which is fully air-conditioned, has its own TV with over 60 cable channels and double built in wardrobes. All those on the first floor have access to their own balcony. Each is designed to a different, essentially classical, theme with twin beds except the master bedroom which boasts a four poster double bed. Hair dryers are provided in each bedroom.

Laundry baskets are provided in all of the bathrooms.The pool is in the garden at the back of the villa, surrounded by a large, sunny pool terrace which comfortably provides the space for the 8 top quality wheeled metal sun loungers. It is a full sized (12x6mts) rectangular pool with underwater lights and curved walk in steps at the shallow end. Cushions for the sun loungers and 8 dining chairs, as well as 2 parasols, are stored in an adjacent pool room. The built in barbecue and adjacent outside dining terrace, under a shaded pergola, are both next to the pool. The pool can be heated as a optional extra but, as it has a solar heating cover, it is not necessary in the Summer

Location of the Villa: The villa is located in the Parque Atlantico area of Quinta do Lago, widely regarded as the most prestigious sector of this luxury resort. It is situated in a large landscaped garden accessed through electric entrance gates. The Ria Formosa estuary and nature reserve is only 200 mts away and you can walk from there along the nature trail to the bridge over the estuary which leads to the miles of unspoiled sandy beach. The San Lorenzo golf course and club house is close by and there are numerous walks and cycle trails for you to enjoy. The main windsurfing lake is also within walking distance.

Eating Out: There are a number of fine restaurants within the Quinta do Lago estate and many more in the immediate vicinity offering every choice of cuisine from local Portuguese, to French, Italian, Fusion, Indian and Seafood. The lakeside Restaurant do Lago, the Casa Velha Restaurant and those of the 5 star Quinta do Lago hotel are all within walking distance of the villa but there are literally hundreds within a short driving distance. You will find a full list of restaurants specially recommended by the owners in the villa.

The Garden: Electric entrance gates lead to the grounds of the villa. The professionally landscaped gardens have been designed in formal Tuscan style to compliment the classical design of the villa with extensive use of calcada stone paths, box hedging and clipped bushes. At the side of the villa is the elegant orange grove garden and behind the pool terrace is a large lawned garden bordered by colourful trees. shrubs and sub tropical plants. There are two fountains and two garden benches in the grounds as well as numerous urns and statuary. The site is surrounded by a tall honeysuckle hedge to give complete privacy

We recently spent 3 weeks at Villa Vermonte and had a great time. The house is a great size, and is very well finished. The garden is beautiful and the pool area was large, with 8 sun loungers. There is a lot of useful outside eating space. The maid service worked very well, and the gardeners were generally efficient and unobtrusive. There are 4 large bedrooms. The location is very good, on a peaceful street some 5 minutes walk to the beach. driving is essential but there is a very good drive and garage. The owner was very helpful before, during and after our stay, and had gone to great lengths to make sure people had a good time. I would definitely recommend Villa VErmonte to others, and hope to go back again soon.

Spent a very enjoyable and relaxing week staying in this top class villa, it really is every bit as luxurious as the photos imply. It was very well presented and maintained and in an excellent position to make use of the attractions of Quinta do Lago Villa (such as golf, the beach and lake).

Thoroughly recommended!

I have just spent a fantastic week at villa Vermonte.
the situation was perfect near to the beach golf courses and plenty of fantastic resteraunts.
The Villa itself has all the essentials and more for a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.
