The delightful, seaside village of San Juan de los Terreros is a few kilometres inside Andalucia`s boundary with Murcia. It is situated by a lovely, safe, sandy beach and ringed by the Sierra Aguilon Mts. The superb main plaza and paseo provide the setting for many seafront bars and within the village itself are traditional Spanish restaurants. A few minutes away in the valley is a spectacular new golf course and the whole area is ideal for myriad outdoor pursuits especially those connected with the lovely 'Blue Flag' beach. Nearby coves offer more secluded sunbathing and swimming. Aguilas, 8k away is a typical Spanish town with harbour and fishing port and Mojacar, 25k away, has a multitude of restaurants and a busy nightlife, while its old Moorish pueblo is a 'must'. At Tabernas are the sets of famous old spaghetti westerns, Cuevas del Almanzora is noted for its cave houses, and there is the beautiful, unspoilt natural park of Cabo de Gata and Almeria City little further afield.
