Quinta do Sol Poente is set in a very relaxing place, 10 minutes by foot from Praia das Macas village, where you can find restaurants with excellent food as well as shops selling local crafts and a swimming-pool with sea water. There are also familiar bars and discotheques.
It is set near magnificent white sandy beaches such as Praia das Macas, Praia Grande, Praia Pequena, Praia da Adraga, Azenhas do Mar, Aguda, Magoito, etc. In 20 minutes you can find another wonderful beach Guincho/Cascais where the world championship of windsurf is held.
This villa is situated between Sintra and Cascais, a good location to explore the area.
Azenhas do Mar is a picturesc village near Praia das Macas, with a small beach and a natural swimming pool.
In Praia das Macas village, near the house, you will find a tramline that connects Praia das Macas and Sintra, world heritage site declared by Unesco, and the most typical village from the Royal family history, only 8 Km from the villa.

Near several others white sandy beaches like Adraga (3 Km), considered in 2003 the most beautiful beach in Europe, Praia Grande (2 Km), Aguda (1,5 Km), Magoito (4 Km) and Praia da Ursa, a naturist beach near Cabo da Roca, 4 km of distance, the westernmost point on the European continent, defined by the poet Camoes as where the land ends and the sea begins. In 15 km far you can find Guincho/Cascais where the world championship of windsurf is held and famous for the kyte surf. Sintra, world heritage site declared by UNESCO, is 10 Km far from and has historic monuments like Moorish Castle, Monastery of Capuchos, Monserrate Palace, National Palace, Pena Palace, Quinta da Regaleira, Seteais Palace and fabulous botanical gardens.
