Poggio di Gelle, is an ancient Tuscan farmhouse, with a warm and charming rural atmosphere. It is situated in the very heart of the Tuscan countryside, at an altitude of 500mt. on the hills of Anghiari, a well known medieval town of the Alta Valtiberina, near Arezzo. The house is a typical country stone house within 3 hectares of olive grove. You can enjoy the mature gardens and the stunning 360° view across the valley as far as the bordering Umbria, Romagna and Marche. The near wood is populated by deer and other wild animals. You can take nice and easy walks in search of mushrooms and chestnuts. This ancient Tuscan farmhouse, restored with all original materials nevertheless meets modern comfort requirements, while preserving its warm and charming rural atmosphere. The house is provided with electricity, gas, heating, hot water and all necessary electric appliances. Outdoor furniture is provided: tables, chairs, deck chairs, barbecue. The property is completely enclosed

The Upper Tiber Valley, between Umbria and Tuscany is a place of culture, art and history. Many important folkloristic/cultural/recreation events are organized the whole year round in this area. Brilliantly placed for exploring both Tuscany and Umbria: Sansepolcro and Monterchi, Piero della Francesca’s land; Caprese Michelangelo Buonarroti's native town; Urbino where Raphael was born; Cortona, Spello, San Gimignano... Easily accessible are famous towns such as Città di Castello (seat of the Festival of Nations and the Museum Burri), Perugia, Siena, Assisi and Gubbio, Ravenna, Republic of San Marino, and the Franciscan sanctuary of 'La Verna'. Florence is only 110 km, by highway. In 15m. drive you can reach some beautiful Natural Reserves such as the Alpe della Luna, a magnificent start for walks and excursions in the nature. Even the Adria coast(Rimini) is not very far. Less then 1hour drive. The A1Highway from Arezzo easly connects you to almost any important town in Italy.

An enchanting town renowned for antiques and craft: The medieval village of Anghiari, is an enchanting town with a well-preserved fortification; renowned among other reasons for antiques and crafts (Busatti is a world-famous textile manufacturer). It is very lively; many markets and festivals are hold in summer. Every year theatrical and musical events of national importance are proposed. The famous “Battle of Anghiari” which took place in 1440 has been subject of a Leonardo da Vinci’s famous painting. Sansepolcro, is the native land of Piero della Francesca where the artist has left important evidence of his work, as well as in the nearby Monterchi and Arezzo. Piero della Francesca was born in Sansepolcro around 1418-20. The Museo Civico houses the 'The Resurrection', considered to be the most representative work of the artist. Enjoy then a 10 minutes drive to Monterchi where Piero della Francesca painted the extraordinary fresco of the Madonna del Parto for the ancient church of the cimitery.

Golf: At about 10 km. the golf course Fattoria Caldese (9-holes). The top-class course Antognolla (2 x 18 holes), about 35 minutes away, Perugia Santa Sabina (18 holes), about 45 minutes away.
