Carcassonne holiday apartment: Centre

Beautiful apartment in a fantastic location. Amazing views of the Cite from the apartment, especially at night when lit up. The Cite is only a very short walk away and has lots of nice restaurants and cafes to try. We usually went there in the late afternoon when the temperatures had dropped a little. Went for some lovely walks in the main town and enjoyed walks along both the river and Canal du Midi. We particularly enjoyed not having to hire a car as lots to do within walking distance.

We bought fresh bread every day from a little boulangerie just around the corner of the apartment and there was also a small mini market for other supplies within a few minutes walk. The apartment itself was ideal and in pristine condition. The beds & sofas were very comfortable and the apartment was very well equipped. (Sky TV, DVD, hair dryer, soaps, detergent, electric fan, a stock of basic food supplies)

We really appreciated the communication from Inga before arrival which made everything much easier. A big thanks for collecting us from the airport and collecting groceries for us. It just made the whole experience hassle free which is just what you need on a short break.

We would definately love to come back next year and explore some more. Would recommend to friends/ relatives without hesitation.

We had an excellent time in Carcassonne. The apartment location is great and the view is even better when you see it for yourself! We were not sure if a city break was ideal for a 4 year old and an 8 month old but we found there was plenty to do (without a car) in the week we stayed there. Our daughter loved exploring the castle and riding the carousel. We took the local bus to the Australian park and to the lake (take a picnic with you) which were both great days out. The apartment is very spacious and nicely decorated and the beds really are as comfortable as everyone says! It was very handy having a washer/dryer in the apartment when you have children! We would all highly recommend this apartment.

A beautiful town house in a beautiful location. As the town house is located next to the Cite, we did not require a car. The Carcassonne taxi company provide an excellent service, it cost 12 Euros for a return taxi to the airport. It is within easy walking distance of the Carcassonne town, where there are plenty of cafes, shops and supermarkets. It is also within walking distance of the Canal du Midi, where we enjoyed a sail on the boat. There are a few good restaurants around the corner from the property also. The property was clean and well maintained, the washer/dryer was very helpful. Perhaps something to consider for the future would be an internet connection, however we really enjoyed the use of the Sky Television. The views from the townhouse are beautiful especially at night when the castle is illuminated. Thanks to Inga for collecting us at the airport and taking us to the Super Marche upon arrival - very helpful. Jason's communication was prompt and he provided excellent customer service. Overall we would thoroughly recommend this property.
