Quaint Ceret townhouse.

This terraced house will cater for 6 people in a large double bedroom and a family room consisting of a double bed and 2 single beds. The house also offers a large sitting room/dining room and a fitted bathroom. It has a fully fitted kitchen with views over local gardens and a balcony from which one can see the mountains and a small garden area ideal for a quiet afternoon BBQ. But if cooking gets too much, and after all it is a holiday, this little piece of Southern France is situated just a few minutes walk from the centre of Ceret, where you will find plenty to amuse you from good local cuisine to plenty of culture.

Ceret offers a variety of restaurants, tree-shaded pavement cafes, a walled old town, an unusual old foot bridge called Devil's Bridge and the Museum of Modern Art. On Tuesday and Saturday there are local markets. During the holiday season there is additional entertainment with a local flavor, as Ceret is the cultural centre of the area. Ceret itself has tennis courts, a swimming pool, gym, running track, stadium and arena. Ceret is fortunate to be close to both the French and Spanish beaches including: Argeles, Collioure, a picturesque fishing village- famous with the impressionist painters for its unique light, with its castle and stunning lighthouse and two beaches; Port Vendres and Banyuls, famous for its fortified wine. For enthusiastic walkers there is a local waterfall with a natural pool within easy reach. One shouldn't forget the walking facilities provided by the Pyrenees. You can also be in Spain in less than 30 minutes.
