The 120 square metres stonehouse, standing in the middle of an old olive yard has been recently completely restored to a very high standard maintaining the unique Tuscan style and offering every modern facilities. It has wooden ceilings, terracotta floors and thick stone walls in the old part of the house.It is tastefully furnished. The three bedrooms have breathtaking views over the medieval hamlet of S.Andrea and over the oliveyard.The terrace is ideal for relaxing and and you can enjoy to take a bath in the pool that will be ready for May 2008 On the ground floor we have a large fully-equipped kitchen/dining room, living room with fire place and satellite TV and further living room with 1 sofa and 1 sofa bed that sleeps 2 people. 1°floor:, 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedded room with stunning view over the medieval hamlet,1 bunk bedroom with view over the oliveyard.3 bathrooms with shower.

A great base for travelling around Tuscany or a beautiful setting to just escape and relax. Only six miles from the historic walled city of Lucca, less than 30 minutes driving to Pisa and less than 1 hour to Florence.Within an hour of sunbathing on Versilia’s beaches. The medieval hamlet of S.Andrea di Compito is walking distance (less than 1 mile). This nice little village is very well-known for the Camellias festival in spring and for its special olive oil.The stonehouse is in the middle of an old oliveyard and is therefore a very quite and relaxing retreat.

Charming house in Tuscany

We spent two great weeks in this beautiful area during our 2009 summer holidays. We envoyed the quietness of the area and the house. It is located away from the road, on a beautiful hill planted with olive trees (a "little Toscany").

We enjoyed Tuscany overall, in particular Luca (just a few miles away from the house), Firenze, Pisa, Sienna and San Giminiano.

Anna and her husband were extremely friendly and helpful (thanks again for the help to find a doctor in the hospital !).

I hired this villa for my wife and I to meet up with my two sons and their respective partners for a week of social relaxation. Everyone loved the place as a centre to travel from and a house to relax in. We can only re-iterate what other reviewers have said about the villa and about Anna and Angelo. Our only complaint was that the current pictures on the website, as of 2009, do not in any way do justice to the place. We think it is far better than the pictures led us to believe.

Anna's House

We had a wonderful couple of weeks in this dream house build in heavenly surroundings.
Anna has done a great job modernising this ancient farmhouse with thought and taste – the kitchen is well stocked, the beds are comfy, the air conditioning was greatly appreciated, the pool was a treat....all good! The house is built into the hillside of an old olive grove with spectacular views of the surrounding area. The house was the best part of our vacation. We had a teenager and a pre-teen kid with us and they loved it- the pool, the wildlife, Lucca (especially the Saturday market and cycling), the shopping, the food, the lifestyle.
The key items that made this part of our vacation remarkably good are:
• Beautiful house steeped in history and impeccably renovated
• Wonderful location in the hills (great views, peace and tranquility away from the world, a refreshing breeze, breathtaking drive to the house (along a hillside hugging shingle trail – not for the faint hearted!)
• The house is located far enough from the village of San Andrea for the church bells not to wake us every half hour. We slept peacefully every night!
• Easy driving distance to all that Tuscany has to offer

We spent almost whole june in Tuscany. Our family enjoyed our holyday really much. Thaks to the lovely house and owners of the house. You really took good care of us! The house was almost new and facilities were great.

Perfect month in Tuscany!

We spent the perfect holiday in Tuscany on June 2009. The house was very easy with little childrens. We had the little swimming pool for kids aged 1 and 2. The 4 years old loved the bigger pool.

It was nice to cook while there was fresch citron and rosmarin on garden. We made most of our lunches and dinners on the house as the kitchen was so well-maintained. Anna and her husbend are very friendly and they took good care of us. Anna even gave their own olive oil for cooking.

I hope we will have chance to come again!
