This brand new first floor two bedroom self-catering apartment overlooking the large communal pool is ideally situated on the coast just a 45 minute drive from Alicante and 30 minutes from Murcia Airports and located within walking distance of the nearby beaches, promenade, restaurants, bars and shops. The fully equipped apartment sleeps up to six in its one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and double pull-out bed in the lounge and offers high standard accommodation suitable for families, couples, young and old alike. After returning from a game of golf at one of the three golf courses (a 15 minute drive away) or shopping at the daily art and crafts market along the promenade, relax in the sun on the roof top solarium, take a dip in the large pool or enjoy a drink on the balcony before strolling along the promenade to one of the many excellent nearby restaurants or bars. Should you wish to explore further a field the bus station is a two minute stroll away.

Accommodate the whole family as everything is within easy reach. The apartment is located in the town centre of Torrevieja and just a short walk away is the local bus station, and supermarket. On a Friday there is a famous street market which is directly outside the main door of the apartment and covers a large area of the town, this is not to be missed. Just a short bus ride away is the superb water park which is ideal for the whole family and during the summer months buses offer free travel to the park, this is the biggest water park on the Costa Blanca. This apartment is ideally situated there is also bus services to Alicante and Murcia which both offer exclusive shopping. The beach and Promenade with Marina are a short 6 min walk away these are all close to restaurants and coffee shops, the promenade is bustling on an evening in the summer months as the craft fair and fun fair are all active. Or you can sample all the different restaurants along the promenade.

Our stay at Santa Gema

Myself and my friend rented this apartment for ourselves and our 3 children. On arrival at the property by taxi from Alicante, we were a little apprehensive as at first sight we couldnt see anything 'touristy' and were clearly in a built up residential area. However, within a couple of mins exploring we found a huge supermarket, just around the corner which was ideal for a self catering holiday and discovered that the beach and busy promenade was only a 5-10 min walk in one straight direction. On the promenade there were many restaurants and a few different shops. The restaurants over look the beaches which, in an evening was nice to sit and watch the sea. There were no 'bars' with music, only restaurants however we made up our evenings playing on the beach or looking round the fun fair and market which were open every evening. The apartment was very well presented, clean and tidy on arrival. The communial pool had a life gurad present every day. I found making the booking quick and easy and was able to contact the owner easily. The only issue that we had for the full trip was someone knocking on our apartment door and ringing our buzzer at around 1am which was a little unsettling, however we put this down to someone getting the wrong address and it didnt happen again.Overall we very much enjoyed our quiet holiday and had a lovely break.

Stayed at this property for 1 week in july '09. It's very centraly located with just a 10 minute walk to the sea front and centre. The apartment is situated on the first floor which is served via a lift, but once on the first floor you are at pool level (perfect if staying with young children) It also has a pool view. Only disapointment was no lilos allowed in the pool possibly because understandbly it does get busy for it's size.
On the next street is a big supermarket offering reasonable priced food. No car is needed as everything is easily reached on foot.The apartment was very clean spacious and tidy, and had everything needed for our stay with ample towels & hairdryer etc. It had a lovely breeze when we opened the balcony doors perfect for the time of year that we stayed.
Torrevieja is very much a family resort and we seen no problems during our stay, the resort has ample to offer familys, with outings to the fair, water park, & beautiful beaches. Along the seafront are restaurants advertising buffets for 8 euros per head. Very filling!! Along with the usual Burger king etc by the fair.
Shopping takes place at night with busy shops and a craft market. There is also a large weekly market right on your doorstep as you exit the main doors to the block.(Very convenient!!)
We enjoyed our holiday at this apartment and resort very much and will def be staying again soon for another holiday at Santa Gema.
Would recomend this holiday for family's wanting a relaxing holiday for themselves without the kids getting bored.

we had a fantastic time staying in this apartment it has an ideal location near to the beach,supermarket,shops and centre also very near to the bus station were you can travel to alicante,murcia,cartgena,barcelona and more,on a friday you also find yourself in the centre of the weekly market which is a bonus!all in all a great value place to stay,the owner is also very helpfull and officent,would def stop there again!

Ideal location as we travelled by bus to & from airport and bus station was just around the corner. Knew market was by apartment but didn't realize until the Friday it was right outside the front door of complex.
Large supermarket down the road and several 24hr shops nearby.
Lots of very nice little Spanish bars nearby and many places doing "menu del dia" at very reasonable prices.
Had a problem with the boiler one morning, but a quick phone call to Richard and he very soon had someone there to sort it out. Excellent.

in the centre of Torrevieja and, on friday, in the middle of the market (!) we spend a very nice week. The apartment was very comfortable, living with 4 persons is no problem.
The contact with the owner was easy.
We found all, what was described and will recommend it to friends.
The distance to the next beach is about 300m, a very nice natural beach ,you reach 7 km away to Guardamar del Segura. A car is necessary, 50 km around you can find many interresting and nice towns, beaches and places (Elx, mar menor etc.)
