Place des Vosges is a pleasant 10 walk, the recently developed Canal St. Martin, the 'upper' Marais and Oberkampf are all right there. This is the area for contemporary art, design, music and flea-marketing as there are many galleries, design boutiques, music venues and small brocantes nearby.
