Brand new self-catering luxury one Bedroom Apartment (sleeping up to 4) with communal swimming pool in the Royal Cabanas Golf 1 Resort. Apartment consist of one double living/dining area, with two leather sofas, and dinning table and 4 chairs, (high chair and cot available) with UK TV and DVD player, fully fitted kitchen including a fridge-freezer, microwave, washing machine, kettle, iron and ironing board, toaster and full set of cutlery and crockery. Towels and bedding provided. Each Apartment is air-conditioned, and heated for the winter evenings, there is a private roof terrace with shaded area for the hottest of days and BBQ facilities, where one can enjoy panoramic sea views. There is a balcony off the bedroom, lounge, and kitchen where there is seating for eating out, Where else can you have a holiday next to a golf course, a golden sandy beach and a Medieval town (Tavira), and the train station only 5 mins walk away.

Local highlights include the Roman town of Estol and the old Moorish town of Silves and the medieval town of Tevira which has been voted on the BBC as the most beautiful town of the Algarve. The local bars and restaurants (with amazing sea food menus) which are situated along the sea front, in the unspoilt village of Cabanas is ideal for those seeking a more traditional Portuguese holiday, with a short boat ride across to an equally unspoilt white sandy beach.

Exceeded our expectations, first class accomodation and the roof terrace was certainly a winner.
Plenty of bars and restaurants Pedro's is very reasonable and O Monte is a touch of class with quality food and service.
The bacon butty is a welcome pit stop on the way back from the village(20 mins walk)
The boat trip to the beach is great fun and the beach is tremendous. Trips to Tavira and othe local areas is also recommended.

If you want to get away from it all and relax, then this is the place for you.Within an easy drive from Faro Airport, this 2nd floor apartment with a fantastic roof terrace is situated within the small, friendly village of Cabanas, near Tavira.

The apartment itself is finished to a high standard, with everything that you could need for a self catering holiday. It has balconies at the front and the rear of the property, great for eating al fresco,well equipped modern fitted kitchen, good sized bedroom with twin beds, large lounge/dining area. There are great views to the sea and inland.

The local shops and supermarkets are within walking distance and have a good stock of local produce. After approximately 30minutes leisurely walk, the beach is accessed via a small boat taxi (approx 1euro each) which takes you across the estuary to the beach itself. There are a few local cafes and restaurants serving good quality food, The Jolly Sailor Bar was particularly good for food and it's friendly atmosphere and the generous alcohol measures!

To get out and about, there is a railway station within the village, approximately 10 minutes walk from the apartment, also local taxis and buses are reasonable. Self drive is very easy and leisurely and it is rcommended to go off the beaten track sometimes to visit places like Santa Luzia or Cacela Velha which are each beautiful, quiet villages with their own beach. Or, drive up into the mountains through the small villages where one has a local artist who creates all sorts of objet d'art from recycled materials and leaves it on the roadside for all passers by to see.

A visit to Vila Real De Santo Antonio is also recommended, a great place to wander around cobbled streets, loads of cafes and restaurants to take in the local atmosphere. Large open markets take place here. This town is on the border of Spain and Portugal, only 30 mins drive from the apartment. Also a trip into Tavira is worth seeing, visit the indoor market and again wander around the streets.

All in all a great place to escape to, relax and unwind.

Beautiful accommodation with an exceptional roof terrace - beach is not far and plenty of local places to eat and drink til late.
Property was clean on arrival and easily sleeps 4 - kitchen is well equipped and has everything you need
Have already recommended to a friend and with a little shopping about plane tickets can be found pretty cheap
Recommended for:  Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

We stayed here recently and had a great time. Lovely appartment. Fully equipped and luxurious throughout. Even had dishwasher ! 2 big leather sofa's to relax into in lounge. Poolside great. Sun terrace - superb. So relaxing and peaceful. Boat trip to beach quite unique and a little adventure.So worth it as beach was just lovely. Very safe for children. We'll definatly come again. Would recommend.

Would not class this property as luxury. It was clean. beds very basic we thought and uncomfortable.
was not informed of building work close by. This was quite noisy and onyt stopped for 1 day during the entire fortnight we were there. Not a restful period for us.
Wouldn't recommend.
beach access was by local boat. Disappointing as we like to walk on beaches.There was a charge for this and it's not quite the same as just walking to a beach.
