THE DISTRICT. Located in the heart of ancient Rome, the apartment is perfect for those who love both the majestic Roman antiquities and the little alleys or squares with their charming “dolce vita”. Celio District, one of the Seven Hills, is becoming very fashionable like Trastevere but much less noisy and so full of greens (it is encircled by three public parks and a garden with a children playground is just in front of the apartment). Pubs, restaurants, wine bars and pizzerias are everywhere. HOW TO REACH THE APARTMENT. • Fly to Rome: convenient though luxurious airport transfers both from Ciampino and Fiumicino are available. It is more comfortable and sometimes even cheaper than taxis. • Drive to Rome: a large paying garage is only 50 meters away. • Come to Rome by Train: Termini (central railway station) is just two subway stops away. • Underground stops (“Colosseo” line B and “Vittorio Emanuele” line A) and bus stops are only 2-10 minutes walk.

The perfect choice

This apartment has an unbelievably convenient location, a well-equipped kitchen (also plenty of dishes), is exactly as represented on this website, is beautifully maintained, and has a very pleasant and accommodating owner. It also has a discount grocery store in the same block, which is a plus because it is in an expensive area. Although it has a lovely indoor dining area, we did not eat a single meal there because the outdoor terrace is so beautiful. It overlooks a city park and the Palatine Hill complex so there is a wide, expansive view. . The park has play equipment which is visible from the apartment's terrace, making it possible for keep an eye on older kids, but with the terraces and indoor spiral staircase it wouldn't be great for very young ones. There is also an amazing view of the Coloseum from the upstairs bedroom and terrace. Having this peaceful and cool home to return to during our one week summer stay made dealing with the heat and hustle/bustle of Rome completely manageable for our group of 10 who ranged in age from 13 to 76. Three sets of keys meant we could split up and do exactly what we wanted. The central location meant we could come home in the middle of the day for lunch and a rest before heading out again. It's not possible to over recommend this apartment. Thanks Raffaela!
