Surrounded by the green hills of Monferrato, Parva Domus is Davide and Cristina's old family house, open to all lovers of quietness in the countryside. The house for our guests is independent: living room , kitchen, 3 sleeping rooms, 2 bathrooms, an access room with 2 single beds, garden, car park. For breakfast you'll have their jams with fruits and flowers, home-made bread and pies, honey, butter, omelette. At walking distance, you can admire the romantic basilica of Santa Fede, built in the XII century. 10 km away is Cocconato village, famous for whine and good restaurants. Itineraries we'll be indicated to the guests across the Asti region, the Aosta Valley (about one hour away by car) and Turin (32 km away), Maggiore e Orta Lakes.

My family (wife, two sons, aged 9 and 6) and I decided to spend a week in Turin to discover what the Piedmont area of Italy had to offer. We decided to stay outside of town in this old country family house about 30km from the city.
The accommodation was comfortable, and the heating was good for this time of year (27th December to 4th Jan 2009). We enjoy self catering and do not always want to eat out as we have to young boys. This was made easy for us as the facilities included an equipped kitchen with gas stove and oven, good fridge and table to dine at.
Our stay included bed and breakfast and this was great with each morning breakfast being presented at a time that suited our needs. The Breakfast included a good spread of fruits, bread, coffee, armlets, jams, chocolate spread, juices and traditional Italian treats (Pandora, or home made delicious treats) which our children loved.
The most appealing attribute to the farm house was its hosts, Cristina and Davide. They assisted us on every occasion and went out of their way to find information, venues, and events. Their warmth and hospitality was absolutely superb. We would recommend any family spending time in this beautiful little venue outside Turin. Public transport is not that far away and trips into the city can be made with relative ease.

FABULOUS experience at Parva Domus

We just returned from a trip to Italy and had arranged to stay at Parva Domus before we left. Cristina and David were extremely kind and generous hosts! The house is incredibly beautiful - decorated with family antiques throughout, and as clean as a whistle. The family has remodeled the bathrooms and the kitchen, so our stay was very comfortable - plenty of hot water for showers! The property has a fantastic, breathtaking view of the hills, nearby farms and wineries. It's just up the hill from a small village where you can get whatever you need. Cristina is an amazing cook, and she served us a fantastic dinner our fist night there. She also provided lovely breakfasts every morning. Both Cristina and David were very helpful with suggestions for visits in the nearby areas and directions to whereever we needed to go. Cristina was also kind enough to find us another B&B when we decided to extend our stay (since Parva Domus was unfortunately already booked). One of our most memorable moments was our first night sitting outside under the cascading vines sipping wine by candlelight and talking with our friends. It was magical. They are kind, honest people, and I would definitely go back and stay with them any time.
