Two weeks of total relaxation and enjoyment!

We have just spent two weeks at this villa and have all had one of our best holidays ever. The villa is stunning. It's web site and pictures do not do it total justice. It was way beyond what we expected both in terms of size and quality, as well as it's overall location in the area.
It sits in a beautiful, quiet tree filled area of large private, and very secluded properties. The pool and rear garden are not overlooked by either of the nearest houses, and allowed for many fun filled hours in the afternoons!
The bedrooms all have balconies, two to the east and two the west. Breakfast on the rear balcony overlooking the pool and watching the sun rise was bliss. A quiet drink watching the sunset from the front balcony was a great way to start the evening.
The villa is larger than the pictures portray, but the space is very well used and the seven of us where never on top of each other, and always had space to sit and read, cook or just potter. The bedrooms were also a good size. The quality and finish to the furniture, and the overall cleanliness of the villa made it a relaxing place to be and very much a home from home.
By far the best part though is the pool. It must be close to 12 metres and allows for proper lengths to be swum. With a beautiful large terrace, partially shaded, this provided many hours of chilled relaxation. My mother in law, who does not swim, had by the time we left, got to a point where she could "breast stroke" without aid, around the pool. It was also close to 28*C for the period we were there. Cooler than the air temp and very pleasant!
Her husband, who can never just sit still, did, and totally relaxed for once!
The area the villa sits in is clean and quiet. A 5 min stroll to the stunning beaches or 10 minutes to the tennis courts. A wood with running circuits and cycle ways is also within 5 mins walk.
Bayonne can be reached and parked in within 10 mins, and Biarritz is only 10 minutes south.
The hyper market is on the way to Bayonne, and the Pyranees and Spain are reachable in an easy 25 minute drive.Getting to the mountains and exploring the local towns was easy, and we did several trips out and about with ease. Even Bilbao is only 90 minutes down the auto route.
Our group found something for everybody to do and enjoy whilst we were there, and the area as a whole is one of the best parts of France we have been to. It will not be our last visit to this area.
A very, very enjoyable holiday in a stunning villa!
