This attractive private villa is ideally situated on a small, exclusive development in a quiet area on the edge of Ovacik, with spectacular views of the Taurus mountains, yet within easy reach of local amenities in Hisaronu. It has a large terrace, private pool and splash pool and is ideal for family holidays. It was built in 2007 and is fully air conditioned throughout. The villa has been built to a high specification and is well equipped. It is situated within walking distance of local amenities, restaurants, bars and small aqua park. Conveniently located for Olu Deniz, Fethiye and Hisaronu. A daily free courtesy bus is available from May to October to a private beach on the stunning blue lagoon at Olu Deniz.

This beautiful villa is set in Ovacik, an area of outstanding natural beauty, being green and mountainous. Ovacik is set on a plateau, 1000ft above sea level, the cooling breezes mean more comfort in the hot summer months. Ovacik is on the outskirts of the lively resort of Hisaronu (10 minutes walk) and only 8 minutes by dolmus(minibus) from the breathtaking coastline and beach of Olu deniz. Fethiye, a busy market town set on a beautiful natural harbour is only 15 minutes by dolmus. There are numerous boat trips from here and water taxis take you to Calis Beach or just a great place to sit and people watch. Most of the nightlife is found in Hisaronu and Olu Deniz. Hisaronu is a lively resort with many bars and restaurants which are generally not rowdy. Olu Deniz has been made a conservation area forever protecting the stunning shoreline and village from over development. Olu Deniz has lovely beach bars and restaurants from which you can watch the beautiful sunsets.

  • There are 3 bathrooms in the villa, one is en suite and attached to the main bedroom on the first floor, this has a bath with a shower. The other room has a shower, toilet, sink and is also situated on the first floor. The other room is on the lower ground floor and has a shower with toilet and sink. There is also an outside shower for pool use.

The second bedroom is a twin bedded room and has a balcony view of the stunning mountains and hillsides, there are drawers and a wardrobe in this room. The third bedroom is on the lower ground floor and is a large room, it has a double bed and comfy armchairs. There is a walk-in wardrobe for storage and the TV and DVD are in this room if you require to relax away from the summer heat. The fourth bedroom in also situated on the lower ground floor and is a twin bedded room with wardrobe and drawers.

ACTIVITIES AND PLACES OF INTEREST: Watersports, small water park (5 minutes walk), paragliding off Babadag mountain. Horse riding, walking micro lite, fishing. Fethiye Rock tombs and amphitheatre. The popular Lycian Way path is nearby, voted in the Sunday Times as one of the 10 best walks in the world. A daily free courtesy bus is available May to October to a private beach on the lagoon at Olu Deniz. The dolmus is the cheapest and easiest way of getting around. They run along the main road which is a 5 minute walk from the villa.

EXCURSIONS IN AREA: Gulet cruises, boat trips, jeep safaris, mud baths, Sakklikent gorge, Ancient city of Ephesus, Dalyan, Kaya Koy (ghost town), Gocek. For the adventurous, a parascending flight from the Babadag mountain down onto the beach at Olu Deniz is a must. Further afield, up in the mountains, serious white water rafting is on offer. The area is rich in ancient history including the 'ghost town' of Kaya and natural beauty including nearby Butterfly Valley and turtle beach. Its a 15 minute walk to vibrant Hisaronu with bars, restaurants, clubs and market stalls. The island of Rhodes is accessible by ferry from Fethiye. There is so much to do and try in the area that one visit is never enough.

We went to the villa in May 2008 and had a great time. The villa was excellent with good facilities, clean and well maintained. My children of 5 and 8 loved the private pool and the splash pool was a nice addition. There is lots to do in the area and we used the free bus to the lagoon and found this relaxing and the scenery was lovely. My mother left her sunglasses on the bus and after ringing them up, the driver dropped the glasses back the next day nothing was too much trouble. The Turkish people in the bars and restaurants were friendly and hospitable and we would definitely recommend to family and friends. It is an ideal holiday for families and couples wishing a relaxing time.

We were the first family to rent this villa and I can't say that we were disappointed. A lovely vila that is close enough to the town for dining, but far enough out to avoid the noise. The villa has all the ameneties that you would expect...and more. The air conditioning is a real plus and not having to share a pool is great for the kids. I would definitely recommend.

What a place

Stayed here with my 3 20/30 something children and their partners, making 8 adults. There was plenty of space on the 3 floors and because the basement area is so large my 2 boys and girlfriends would get changed and have a drink before going out for the evening. The 3 bathrooms were a blessing and having the bath on the top floor meant us ladies could have the floor to ourselves on our spa pamper afternoons, the men were happy to stay by the pool. The pool was fab, never having a holiday with our own before was the best treat, and I holiday 4/5 times a year. The table on the balcony was perfect, we would have all our meals here, in the evening watching the orange sunset with micro gliders crossing the horizon, very romantic. I cooked several times for us all during our 2 week stay. There is everything you could possible require in the cupboards and draws, in face we were finding new gems every day. Dishwasher fab, washingmachine fab, maids changeing beds and cleaning for us fab, lift to and from airport fab, air-con fab information pack fab, comfy beds fab. The shop on the top of the hill is great for every day stuff, a bit of a pull up mind, but for the rest go to the supermarket's, don't walk back like I did at mid day get a taxi, did enjoy the jump into the pool fully clothed tho. Lots of restaurants/bars close by, shops 15 minute walk, beach 10 minute bus ride, town 20 minute bus ride. Will defiantly go to this villa again.

Peace and quiet in luxury surroundings

I was looking for a quiet holiday to recuperate following a harrowing year of surgery and found it here at Acacia Villas. The description we were given was absolutely spot-on and, when we opened the door to the villa our immediate reaction was 'WOW' ! Maids unobtrusively kept the villa immaculately clean and tidy and when a problem arose with the hot water, it was dealt with very quickly and efficiently by the maintenance staff. Whilst I rested at the quiet and private poolside with one son in attendance, my husband and second son went off 'exploring' on microlight aircraft, quad bikes and paragliding, as well as walking the lovely countryside around and about. Most of our evening meals were taken at the local Three Cheers Restaurant where we tried lots of national dishes and made some good friends. The owner, Ugur, even arranged a mini-bus and came with us as a tour guide to show us around "the real Turkey". We had a marvellous two-day tour which culminated in being taken to his home to have a barbecue with his family! Hisaronu provided local markets, shops, mosques and banks and most shops accepted both English and Turkish currency: both currencies were available from most cashpoint machines. The Blue Lagoon at Olu Deniz is something not to be missed, with spectactular scenery in a conservation area. There are lovely beach bars and restaurants and we sat in several as we watched the beautiful sunsets. Fethiye is a busy market town with a beautiful harbour, from where there are numerous boat trips while Hisaronu and Olu Deniz are lively resorts with many bars and restaurants which are not too rowdy at night. I have recommended Acacia Villas to a number of friends and family and can't wait to go back there again!
