La Bossardaie is just 5 minutes drive from the market town of Ploermel and has unusual features including a first floor sitting room to appreciate the country views and fully fitted kitchen with double sized gas oven. The 4 bedrooms are on the ground floor. There are two double bedrooms [one en-suite] and two twin bedded rooms. Family bathroom and large entrance lobby leading to a terrace with sun blinds and garden furniture and patio. The above ground pool is in view across the large garden area. It measures 4.75metres diameter and 1.20metres depth approx. The driveway has parking for many cars and the garden is established with flowering shrubs. This is an ideal summer rental with excellent self-catering facilities. It is also only ten to fifteen minutes drive from the popular Lac au Duc with its sandy beach, water sports, an outdoor pool for children with slides, pedalos, wind-surfing, boat hire and trampolining, tennis and children play area. Creperie, cafe and golf opposite.

The property is set in a collection of former farming properties in a small rural hamlet. The farmhouse is only ten minutes drive from Ploermel, a developing town with many modern facilities [MacDonalds, 6 screen cinema [some English films] and a ten-pin bowling alley] including 3 large supermarkets but also has a traditional market on Fridays in the old quarter of the town. Just outside of Ploermel is a large leisure lake with water sports, including pedalo hire, man-made beach for swimming, creperie and ice cream/coffee shops. The Hotel at the Lac au Duc has Health and spa facilities including manicure/pedicure. Set in Merlin’s legendary Broceliande. Look for the tomb of Merlin in Paimpont Forest and explore the area where King Arthur is said to have reigned with his Knights. Golf Course: There are many golf courses in the region, the closest [15 minutes] being the LAC AU DUC in Ploermel. This is a 9 hole course soon to be extended to an 18 hole but you can go around twice. Prices are reasonable and you don't need membership.

Health & Beauty Treatment - Spa: There is a health spa at the nearby Hotel Le Roi Arthur by the golf course and treatments/sessions can be arranged either by appointment before you arrive or on your arrival. English speaking receptionist. Prices vary from a 2 hr treatment at 126 Euros down to 10 Euros for use of the spa and jacuzzi facilities. A 20 minute manicure costs 29 Euros and a pedicure for 30 minutes costs 32 Euros. Waxing also available. Treatments are available for men too!!!

We had a wonderful 10-days-stay in April, enjoying the silence, the fresh air and the peaceful surroundings. The Broceliande-forest is easy to reach as well as the picturesque towns of Vannes or Josselin. Supermarkets near in Ploermel. The description is perfect, reality even better than the words tell. Nice neighbours.
Owner's Response: It is good to receive such lovely reviews from another satisfied renter. Also good to see that they enjoyed the property out of the Summer season and made the best of the surroundings. We welcome more visitors in this way!

Excellent, the photographs don't really do it justice. Lots to do, which was just as well as we seemed too choose the wettest August ever (Same as the rest of Northern Europe really).
Good access to Josselin, a very pretty and historic village; Vannes and nearby for the sea; but only 5 mins from Ploermel with all amenities you would expect. Could tour most of Brittany using this as a base and not more than 90 minutes in any direction.
I was dubious about an 'upside-down house' when we booked, but having stayed there, it works really well.

Once again, an excellent time was had by Children and Adults alike.
