Set in an area of outstanding beauty close to the pretty villages of Arnside and Silverdale. There are plenty of walking routes to meet all needs, and the world- renowned Leighton Moss RSPB reserve is just 10 mins away. Nearby there are stately homes such as Levens Hall and its topiary gardens. The Lake District National Park is a 20 mins drive to the north. This breathtakingly beautiful area inspired poets such as Wordsworth and Coleridge. There you can stroll on the fells, visit picturesque villages or perhaps scale Scafell Pike, England's highest peak. A 30 min drive eastwards takes you to the green valleys of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales and the lovely village of Dent. Further afield is the market town of Skipton with its 900-yr-old castle, the spa town of Harrogate and the 12th century Fountains Abbey, Britain's largest monastic ruin. The local market town of Carnforth boasts the railway station that was the setting for the film Brief Encounter, which has recently been restored.
