This beautiful luxury waterfront villa is perfect for a relaxing holiday, with its amazing outlook and great access either by car or by boat. The villa's heated 28ft pool, with jacuzzi, has a fabulous view over a cross-junction of canals, and the peaceful location is great for fishing and watching the wildlife go by. We have seen Manatee, Bobcats, Dolphins,Armadillos,Possums Racoons,and the occasional Aligator, Your welcome to bring your own boat, there is a public boat launch just a few minuets from the house. And you can tie up at our boat dock. There are two living areas and four bedrooms, two with en-suite bathrooms, and the family room has a quality piano. This superb luxury villa has everything you need for a fabulous summer holiday or for an ideal longer term rental. Ask about reduced rates for longer stays.

Situated on a quiet canal cross-junction just off Cheshire Canal, with easy boat access into Myakka River and Port Charlotte Harbour, and in a quiet residential area. Boca Grande, Englewood and Venice beaches are all within about 1/2 hour drive. Punta Gorda, with its 'Fisherman's Village' is just 20 minutes drive away, and there is easy access to Sarasota, Myakka River State Park, and Fort Myers. Golf courses, boating and fishing abound, plus nature reserves, canoeing, walking. Port Charlotte only ten minutes away has a large choice of restaurants, and mall shopping with multiplex cinema.

Difficult to put in words how good this villa is. Everything one could possibly need or use is available. Can't speak highly enough of the support from the owners who made the whole holiday experience so easy. To appreciate the villa and the area you just have to go. We certainly will do so again.

Fabulous & comfortable villa, we wanted for nothing. We know the gulf coast well and would reccommend this property for anyone wanting to explore this part of it. The house is big and well laid out - perfect for the 3 young children we brought, especially good for them was the den with a big tv. Loads of wildlife about as promised in the description. A very quiet area, almost secluded but not far from shops etc, so the noise from our children enjoying the fab pool was never an issue. We enjoyed sitting in the hot tub of an evening with a glass of wine taking in the view. A great place to relax and unwind.

River Haven has been a wonderful, peacefull experience. Everything rates a 5 for excellent. The home is beautifully decorated,comfortable, and has anything you would need to have a wonderful holiday. It was very clean and well maintained and the owner was wonderful through the entire information and booking period. The pool and lanai are great and we have really enjoyed the heated pool and jacuzzi. I will definitely recommend this home to all our friends in Canada and will definitely come back again i
f it is available. The location is ideal and close to shopping, entertainement etc, but also gives you a peaceful spot to chill. Thank you Sue and Ian for a great vacation.

we spent a week in this villa during August. It was absolutely fabulous and the view is even more breath-taking in real life than on the photo! the property is very private ( you definitely need a car) but many interesting places were within an hour's drive. the neighbours were very friendly and we were invited round for drinks. the property is extremely well equipped and lacks nothing. The children even had their own tv room. i would highly recommend this villa to a family seeking tranquility and wishing to experience the real Florida.

A wonderful location and a fabulous villa.

Every morning was spent in the poolside hot jaccuzi and breakfast around the large warm pool was always late!! There is everything in the villa and outside that you could possibly hope for and more. Sue and Ian, the owners, treat this villa as their second home and it certainly shows. The villa is large enough for a big family but it is also ideal for just two, like us, who like a lot of space to relax in. The views from the outside deck and pool are wonderful and on many afternoons we spent time watching an osprey take his fish snack to a large tree in the woodland located on the otherside of the canal.

It is in a very quiet and peaceful location but is only a short drive to shops and restaurants. Your holiday can be as active or as quiet as you want it to be. Self catering is easy as there is a large Walmart and Publix only a few miles away and there are also numerous restaurants.

One of the most important points for us is the flexibility of dates when renting a villa and Sue and Ian are always happy to discuss this. For us in the UK this means we do not have to fly on specific dates and, therefore, allows us to look for more economical flights over a variety of days.


The nearby beaches and state parks were everything we expected from Florida. They were exceptionally clean and everything was so well looked after. Fishing is very popular and we spent lots of time talking to the fishermen about their catches and local experiences.

We have rented properties in various areas of Florida many, many times and this is the best so far. We have recommended this to family, friends and neighbours and definitely hope to visit again soon.
