Our luxury self catering apartment is ideally situated in the beautiful valley of Rauris,with both the village centre and gondola station just a few minutes walk away. It offers spectacular views of the valley and mountains. Situated in the Hohe Tauern National Park, Rauris is ideal for a relaxing or adventure-filled holiday all year round. The lounge area comprises a large double sofa bed with wide window doors opening out onto a large decking area. It is equipped with a flat screen TV and DVD player. The kitchen is fully fitted with a NEF ceramic hob and electric oven, dishwasher, microwave and fridge freezer. There are two bedrooms, each with fitted wardrobes. Bedroom 1 has a double bed with separate mattresses and bedroom 2 has two single beds. Underfloor heating can be controlled simply from each room and there is a constant supply of hot water. Parking is available right outside. All bedding and towels provided.

Rauris is in the heart of the picturesque Hohe Tauern National Park. The nearest airports are Salzburg at 60 miles and Innsbruck at 110 miles. Within 40 minutes drive are the spa towns of Bad Hofgastein and Bad Gastein, Zell am See with its beautiful lake and easy access to the glacier of Kaprun. White water rafting is available at Taxenbach and the Gross Glockner (the highest mountain in Austria) and Krimml waterfalls are all just a short drive away. Rauris itself offers year round activities. The Hochalm mountain lifts carry you up to a wide range of alpine pursuits - hiking and cyling in the spring, summer and autumn with more than 180 miles of clearly marked paths. The wildlife is a major attraction with chamois, marmot, golden eagle, griffon and vultures. You can even try gold panning, bread making and butter-churning. Golf courses are within 30-40 minutes drive away. In winter there is downhill and cross country skiing (35 kms of pistes), paragliding, ice and rock climbing.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Rental Rates:
    Rental rates include bed linen, towels, electricity and end of stay cleaning but exclude daily cleaning and concierge services. Please enquire if you would like these additional services.

    Booking Procedure:
    Your reservation will be confirmed on receipt of a deposit of £150, with the balance due 6 weeks before the start of your rental period.

    A €100 security deposit is payable at the beginning of your holiday to our local contact in Rauris. This is in case of any minor damage,breakages or loss of keys. If eveything is okay at the end of your stay, your security deposit will be refunded.

    Changeover day:
    Departure by 10:00am with arrival after 2:00pm to allow for cleaning.
  • The reservation deposit of £150 is non refundable. If you cancel the reservation after the balance has been paid and between 4-8 weeks prior to your rental, 50% of the rental rate minus the reservation deposit will be refunded. If you cancel between 2-4 weeks prior to your rental, 25% of the rental rate minus the reservation deposit will be refunded. We regret that no refund will be paid for cancellations less than 2 weeks prior to your rental.

Spa & Wellness Centre: Occupants of the apartment have free access to the new Wellness Centre adjoining, with an indoor and outdoor pool, sauna, jacuzzi, massage, bar/restaurant. The apartment is approximately 150 metres from the main gondola in Rauris. There are around 35km of pistes with long tree lined runs. It is an ideal environment for beginners and intermediates with two excellent English speaking ski schools. There is a plenty of off-piste skiing to cater for the more advanced skiier. A toboggan run offers excitement during the day as well as Monday and Thursday evenings, when it is floodlit. Less than 45 minutes drive away are the more extensive ski areas of Zell am See, Saalbach Hinterglemm, Bad Hofgastein, St Johann im Pongau and the famous Ski Amade. The resort of Kitzbuhel can be reached in under an hour. Golf: The nearest golf course is in Zell am See, some 20kms away. Other well established golf courses are found in Bad Hofgastein, less than 40 minutes drive away.

Further information: There are two supermarkets in Rauris providing all essentials. There are also two banks with ATMs, a post office and tourist information. Shops cater for clothing, outdoor activities, ski and boot hire, and hairdressing. There are also a wide range of restaurants and bars.

Superb Apartment with stunning views!

Had a lovely time staying in this fabulous apartment, facilites of excellent quality and very well equipped. Very comfortable beds & sofa and lovely and warm underfloor heating. Excellent customer service from the owner, nothing too much trouble. Stunning views from all windows and endless hot alpine spring water to shower in - bliss!

Highly recommended!

dit appartement is luxe en ruim ingericht, met een loungebank, lcd televisie, dvd speler, wasmachine, oven en magnetron, ruime koelkast en vrieslade.
Dichtbij aanwezig het zwembad, met jacuzzi en sauna, maakt dit appartement tot een prettig vakantieverblijf.

We stayed at this property for a week and it was an extremely enjoyable experience. It was very well furnished, clean and the decor was modern and comfortable. The location is ideal, only a short walk from a very pretty village and the mountain views from the apartment are superb. Nick and Bronwyn, the owners, were very prompt replying to our emails which was a great help. We would certainly recommend a stay here and we would like to return one day.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 6 days in Rauris - all exactly as described in advert, and both the owners and local management company extremely helpful. Apartment is only a few minutes walk for the main gondola and at the time of our visit, there were absolutely no lift queues and pistes were very quiet. The drive from the airport is straight forward and takes just over an hour. Rauris is only half an hour away from a number of other resorts, such as Zell am See, so there is plenty to do within easy reach. We would highly recommend this apartment to others and look forward to returning ourselves as soon as possible.

Our wonderful holiday in Rauris!

We are just back from a three night stay in this apartment in Rauris. It was exactly as described and as we had hoped. The apartment was immaculately clean, in very good condition and very well equipped. The beds were amazingly comfortable and we all slept very well, probably helped by the fresh air and exercise we had enjoyed all day. Two of us were there for the skiing which was very convenient and we were able to get ski hire and passes easily. Plenty of intermediate skiing right on the doorstep. If my teenage boys had been there, and we had been there for a week, we would probably have driven to one of the bigger resorts after a couple of days but that would have been easy and lots of people seemed to be doing that.We hired a car and the girls who were not skiing had lovely day trips away to Zell am Zee and Salzburg. Wellness centre lovely and the perfect end to a tiring day on the slopes. Went out to eat in Rauris two nights and had lovely meals, can't remember names of restaurants but one of them was the very first place you come to when you walk out of the apartment- about 50 metres away. Rauris very quiet at night and seemed to close about about 10.30. No shops open after 7pm. Maybe more night life could have been found but we were not looking for it! Fantastic break for us and very much hope to be back, maybe in the summer for the mountain biking and white water rafting? Good communication from owners and from Gaby who lives nearby. A really super holiday!
