Two independent holiday homes on the grounds of an 18th century château with a swimming pool, set in extensive private grounds just five kilometres from the centre of Bordeaux. The Chateau offers two comfortable rental units: Gîte Pomerol, which sleeps up to four guests in two bedrooms, and Gîte Sauternes, which has one double bedroom. The careful restoration of both cottages combines traditional features like exposed beams and stone walls with modern comfort like jacuzzi bath, dishwasher and satellite TV with DVD. The property is set in five hectares (12 acres) of private enclosed grounds, fully landscaped with mature trees, lawns, and a rose garden, on the banks of the Garonne river. The 6 x 12 metre swimming pool is located on the south side of the château. Roman steps lead down into the water. The owners live in the château and are knowledgeable wine lovers themselves. They love to share their experience with their guests, and can arrange private chauffeur-driven wine tours.
