Le Petit Foussal is a newly refurbished stone cottage offering the perfect facilities for a summer holiday rental in the picturesque area of the Lot Valley in South West France. The house is 150 years old with exposed beams and is equipped with all facilities including dish washer and satellite television. As the gite is newly refurbished all equipment is new. There is a plunge pool (much, much safer for young children) in the private garden. On the outskirts of the village of Sauzet, which has a bakery, post office and restaurant, it is surrounded by vineyards which produce the famous 'black wine of Cahors'. Le Petit Foussal is ideally located for exploring the area which includes the delightful market towns of Montcuq with a market on Sunday mornings, and Preyssac with a Friday market. Historic Cahors is just 20 minutes away where it is possible to take cruises on the Lot river. Within the area there is facilities for golf, horse riding, cannooing and fishing.

Nearest Airport: Toulouse Blagnac at 110 Kilometres
Nearest Train: Cahors at 25 Kilometres

Sauzet is situated in the picturesque Lot valley 25 kms from historic Cahors, and equal distance from the historic market towns of Montcuq and Preyssac and Luzech. There is table tennis, boules and badminton at the gite. There is a tennis court in the village and not far away is facilities for horse riding and golf. Bikes are available for hire in Prayssac. Toulouse and Bergerac airports are about one and a half hours away. All the low cost airlines operate at these airports which are also served by the leading car-hire companies. To make a real holiday of it take a ferry from Portsmouth to Bilbao which is just 4 hours away.

Lovely cottage near the Lot Valley

Beautifully renovated cottage, lovely exposed oak beams and flagstones. Very well stocked kitchen for self caterers. Good patio space outside with excellent bbq.
Pool good size if a little hard to get out of.
Very handy shop in the village, good bakery too.
Lovely food markets nearby, especially the Sunday one at Montcuq.
