Fantastic opportunity to stay in a lofty lovingly restored former chapel, the focal point of Rhosneigr. Retaining many original features of the former chapel it once was including a working pipe organ, it now houses stylish holiday home. Rhosneigr has for over 100 years been a secret gem, where industrialists of the last century have had their second homes by the sea. Today this beautiful little place boasts excellent beaches and has now become a water-sports heaven for those who like to try the new adventurous sports of kite surfing and the like. Don’t worry if you haven’t tried these before there are schools who will give you 1 to 1 or group training, to help you master a new pastime. For a more sedate pace, its possible to hike up nearby Snowdonia and for an even slower pace there is the beautiful village of Rhosneigr and the nearby lanes to meander around. Whatever you choose Rhosneigr will not disappoint.

Christ Church is located in the village of Rhosneigr. It is within easy walking distance of the three distinct beach areas in Rhosneigr, the main family beach, with beautiful golden sands, the boating/fishing area with rocky outcrops and the activity beach with kite surfing and windsurfing. Less than one mile from Christ Church is Anglesey Golf Course and less than 5 miles is the Anglesey Race Circuit and for those who like watching RAF aircraft take to the skies the nearby air base provides for this. Anglesey in many ways is like the place time forgot. There are many rural lanes and beach walks to take part in. The lanes make for great cycling routes to nearby towns of Beaumaris, Amlwch and Trearddur Bay. The South coast of the Island of Anglesey has some great bays and beaches, try Aberffraw and Cymyran. There are some lovely cafes to rest after a walk along the beach and there are local country pubs to have a super Sunday lunch nearby golf course

Additional information about rental rates

  • Please email with your requirements. We aim to be flexible with your travel plans and can quote a total cost when you enquire.
    Ordinarily, rental times are from 3pm on the start date and the Church MUST be vacated by 10am on the last day of rental. This is to allow for preparation and cleaning. Again, we can be flexible depending on the previous or next booking, please ask when enquiring.
  • DEPOSITS: A 30% (non refundable) deposit is required when booking. This is to secure your booking, this will be deducted from the total cost of your booking. PLEASE NOTE: No booking will be confirmed until the deposit has been received. The balance MUST be received 6 WEEKS prior to the start of the holiday, or at the time of booking, if within 6 weeks of start date. An inventory and property deposit of £200 per rental period must be received along with the balance, this deposit (£200) will be refundable in full, subject to there being no damage or breakages, within 14 days of your holiday ending. You will find a full inventory in the house on your arrival. We do recommend you take out FULL HOLIDAY INSURANCE, in case of cancellation or curtailment of your holiday. Linen, bath and beach towels are provided. On bookings of more than two weeks, a maid service will be provided once a week.
  • Short Breaks: Short breaks WEEKEND (Either Friday, Saturday & Sunday) or MID-WEEK (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) will be charged at 70% of the weekly rental rate.

  • The main bathroom serves the second and third bedrooms and the living area. It has a 'P' shaped bath with fitted jacuzzi. It has a designer basin and toilet with soft closing lid. It is fully tiled and features an extraction unit. There is a feature tiled curve wall and candles for a relaxing bathing experience. The en-suite serves the Master bedroom. It is stylish and has been created as a stylish wet room. It is very private and accommodates a large shower head and additional shower rail. A corner toilet with soft closing lid and a small basin with full height mirror. There is an extraction system and it is fully tilled. The bathroom and ensuite have been designed using the finest materials and are very beautiful in their appearance. Underfloor heating is provided for those footsteps on the tiles. Underfloor heating is provided throughout the whole ground floor of Christ Church. The bathrooms are top quality finished.. for more information

  • Christ Church comfortably accommodates 8. There are 3 well proportioned contemporary bedrooms. They are light and airy with double glazed opening windows and huge 'church like' window sills. Each are special in their look and all have linen and towels for their guests with a wardrobe and chest of drawers as standard. The master suite is at the rear of the property with 3 windows. One large feature window has views to the centre of the Island. The master has its own luxury en-suite. The other 2 bedrooms are served by the main family bathroom. One bedroom is east facing and one west, both with large feature windows. Additional accommodation is found via the 'Italian' spiral stairs on the mezzanine. Here a sofa bed has linen and towels. This room has views of 'downtown' Rhosneigr in a feature dormer window and overlooks the lounge/naive of the church. All bedrooms are off the main snug area. Notes: There is a seperate kitchen with designer units and solid oak worktops. It is fitted to a very high standard. There are plenty of cupboard spaces and a large fridge/freezer. The lounge has original wooden church features. It is raised and features 3 large windows. There is a dining table seating 8. There is a separate snug area with a fully working 'original' pipe organ. (Please advise at time of booking if you wish to play). The snug has a dining table and large opening patio doors to the bbq and driveway area. There are wooden floors to the lounge and snug. Off the snug are the bedrooms and the 1.9m diameter 'Italian' spiral staircase to the upper mezzanine floor, which accommodates an office area with computer and good natural light. There is also seating and DVD player to watch movies. (Please bring your favourite movies). You will be blown away with the high vaulted ceilings and the truely impressive look of this former chapel.

Activities: Where do we start...?? Anglesey golf course is less than one mile away. Self described as 'an interesting 18 holes links course (6330 yds, SSS 71), set amongst sand dunes, iIt is renowned for its excellent greens and numerous streams. The whole course boasts an abundance of wildlife and is an important conservation area. This golf course is used for North Wales county championship matches and because of its even nature, it is a fair test for golfers of all abilities.' Anglesey race circuit, less than 7 miles away. Recently undergone heavy investment it now houses events almost every weekend of the year, from vintage races to national motorbike championships. A real special day out. Beaches and boats. If you like beach holidays, Rhosneigr is the place to be. There are three in Rhos itself, family, boating/fishing and sporty/activity. You decide! Each a stroll away from cafes to eat and drink throughout the day. You can take a walk through the dunes to Maelogg lake.

Magical place: Rhosneigr is a beautiful resort. It has all you need for a great family or activity holiday. The water sports centre is excellent for taking a course in kite surfing. You are never too far away from mountains to hike at Snowdonia, or day trips around this great Island to the nearby resort of Trearddur Bay. Much bigger and busier, great to visit but great to get away from the crowds at the end of the day and return to the luxury of Christ Church in Rhosneigr. Other day trips include Amlwch on the Northern coast and the castle town of Beaumaris on the East. The Island is very easy (and traffic free) to get around by car. The church has been lovingly restored during 2007 to create a wonderful experience for the renter.

If you thought the pics looked good on here, wait until you get there! We've just spent 5 days at this des res and had a fantastic time. From the moment Lyn from the B&B next door hands over the keys, be ready for your shoulders to drop and prepare yourself for an amazing stay. The standard of the accomodation is first class from the rooms to the kitchen to the jacuzzi bath. It's like a home from home (well OK it's nicer than my home!) and if you're anything like me the first thing you'll do when you get home is check your diary to see when you can next go back! We loved it and am sure you will do to.

Stunning property, beautiful location

A group of us recently enjoyed a relaxing weekend at the church and were amazed by how beautiful it is and the facilities that are available. We made use of the fully-kitted out kitchen and there was plenty of room for us to all sit and chill out without feeling like we were on top of each other. The whole place is tastefully decorated and one of our group had a go at playing the original church organ!

The beach is a two minute walk and is really clean and there are a few shops and cafes in the village where you can get pretty much everything you need, it's an ideal location for relaxing and a great base for exploring the rest of Anglesey. We'll definitely be booking to go again and will hopefully try out a few more of the watersports on offer next time!

perfect holiday let close to the beach

A group of us spent a lovely wekend break at Christchurch. We took an easy train journey from London all the way to Rhosneignr with only one change. the friendly housekeeper Lynne was there to welcome us and explain how everything worked. She produced a delicous seafood platter caught by her husband and a homemade cheesecake-thanks Lynne!
The house was spacious war and comfortable , the kitchen very well equipped.Rhosneignr has cafes and restaurants and 2 well stocked mini supermarkets-a great destination even without a car.

Wow what a place! Spent the week here with a group of friends and had a fantastic time. The house is so spacious and well finished - the pictures really don't do it justice!

The church was a wonderful place to stay, a really gem. I was really suprised how well equipt the place was and the high quality feel of the place. The whole place is spacious and the with beach a mere skip across the road, you will never want to leave. Highly recommended.
