Two charming flats in a 18th century house in the center of Bruges.

The flats are situated in the very historic centre of medieval Bruges. It offers you the ideal setting for a visit to Bruges, be it in couple, with family or with friends. You have a choice between the Family Flat on the second floor and the Attic Suite in the roof on the third floor. A storage room with washer and dryer is at everyone´s disposal in the entrance hall. In 1995 the duplex apartment was restored by the owners, Cynthia and Olivier, preserving all the old elements. The transformation in 2007 was done creating not only two separate apartments but also a good mix of modern technology and authenticity. The Family Flat comes with a rural kitchen of stained oak and offers an extra room with a bunk bed and is ideal if you want to do some cooking of your own. The Attic suite is a very spacious roof apartment with an open bathroom with cast iron bath on claw feet and a sun orientated terrace with a unique view of Bruges.

On the second floor we can offer you the 'Family Flat'. The old wooden floors were restored to there original splendour. It is an ideal refuge for couples or small families. A rustic brick fire place defines the living area. Old recuperated bricks, typical to the area of Bruges, were used. A local smith was asked to make a door to measure in cast iron. The sleeping area is adjacent to the living area. The flat screen TV and rustic fireplace provide the pleasant comfort of home. There is a separate small bedroom with a bunk bed for the kids or fellow travellers. The bathroom provides a large shower, WC and a sink with blue stone top. A fully furnished kitchen, including dishwasher, in stained oak is at your disposal. The ancient pastry table serves as worktable for preparing the foods as well as a barrier between the kitchen and dining area. The family flat is ideal for families with 2 small children.

All historic monuments, such as the massive Belfort and the Saint-Saviour's cathedral are a one minute walk from the flats. Bruges is also known for the many artisanal chocolate makers and it's chocolate museum. Tasty Belgian beer is served at all the bars. The city's art collection is equally impressive. The Groeninge museum for instance shows a collection of Flemish primitives. A boat ride on the canal is a must and gives a different prospective of this beautiful historic centre. The mayor shopping street has attracted all the big names and varies from the usual because of the integration of the stores in beautiful historic buildings. Nearby you can visit Damme, a picturesque village near the water, preferably on bikes. Knokke, Oostende and De Haan, preferred beach destinations of the Belgian are a great refuge on hot days and are only 15 kms away. A 20 minute train ride brings you to Ghent where other interesting historic events and monuments can be observed.
