Attractions on the Island include Timanfaya National Park, El Golfo Green Lake, The Cactus Gardens, Papagayo National Park and Beaches, Cesar Manrique Foundation, Guinate valley and Tropical Bird Sanctuary, Marador del Rio (panoramic viewpoint), Los Verdes Caves. There is a good picturesque and bustling local market in Teguise on Sundays.
Rubicon marina in Playa Blanca has good shops and restaurants and a local market twice a week.
Puerto Calero is an attractive harbour with boat trips including glass bottomed boats and a submarine.
Regular ferries run during the day from Playa Blanca to Fuerteventura.
Some of the above will need a car or some can be accessed by local organised tours.
Lanzarote has become a very popular island for walking. In the apartment you will find a 'Tour and Trail' map with many projected walks for walkers of all capabilities.
