The Sunny bank Estate situated on Church hill overlooking Clifden town surrounds the main house, a 19th century former convent, now a luxurious 11 bedroomed stately house, set in its own grounds with a Tennis court and outdoor heated pool, sauna, stone patio area,extensive gardens. The lodge, a period style house is situated to the west of the main house and the cottage an elegant renovation is set in its own gardens and borders the main estate. Our recently completed seaside cottage is an old irish cottage renovated into a luxurious large cottage is set on a spectacular site overlooking Streamstown bay. This is a great spot for a family or friends holiday. We (the extended family and friends) spent a week there and had a great time. It's a huge house with plenty of room. Loads of living rooms, two big open fires and decent size bedrooms all with their own bathrooms. There is a tennis court,sauna and a pool (which wasnt in use when we were there). All very well kept

We could walk down to the town square in a minute for shopping or pints. Good choice of pubs and live music.The owners have a Pub downtown and we had lunch there nearly everyday, very good fish and chips!. Its a really nice town, we all enjoyed it, The elders went sightseeing to Kylemore Abbey and the Killary Fjord, while we wandered the local beaches... and pubs . Oh, and we went to a show in the local theatre, hilarious. This doubles as a cinema as well !

Would recommend for a group or family, very comfortable and smart without being overly formal.

My sisters arranged a surprise 30th birthday party for me in Clifden a few months ago, the venue was perfect, it being close to both beautiful walks and the buzz of Clifdens nightlife. We all had an amazing time, I'll never forget it. Our host Shane made the most delicious cocktails and we had a wonderful cook one evening by the name of Gillian, I'll never forget her roast chicken!

At last we have found a home away from home that does not feel like rented accommodation with top quality beds, comfortable sofas and full of character.
Reallly chilled out in Clifden and love the attention to detail in sunnybank. Keep up the good work. Look forward to next year already.
