Notes: A fantastic property which our guests keep returning to. There is an open drive way with parking for 2-3 cars, with ample space behind and in front of the house and the original front gate into the front garden. We have two small outhouses for washing and drying and extra storage at the back of the house. The double kitchen doors lead out into the lovely private patio area, where you can cook or just sunbathe. Please note that the drive way is not gated, in case you have young children, but there is plenty of space for them to play.

SunnyBank Cottage - a home from home...

Review Submitted: September 1, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
We had a fabulous time at this property. It was exactly as described on the internet. It was very clean, beautifully decorated - simple, elegant contemporary feel with lots of character. Would highly recommend this property. Great location - walkiing distance to restaurants, shops, pubs but far enough away to have a quiet sleep-in, the morning after!

Owners were perfect - never saw them! Just dropped off some addtitional linen and left us alone. Lots of local information provided and given the quality of the property and the ease of the booking process it was good value for money.

Wouldn't receommend the house if you have children under 4 years old as garden is steep and has steps which could be hazardous to little people!

Bed linen, mattresses, pillows and towels good quality. More than adequate bathroom toiletries provided. Wecome pack included a reasonable white rioja, lovely irish brown bread and smoked salmon. Much appreiciated after our journey.

Nearest beach is 1.5km but best one is half hour drive away. But well worth the drive. Some great art galleries, antique shops and womens clothes shops in the town. Easy to cook in the house - more than enough equipment in the kitchen for even the best Jamie Oliver's.
There is a freezer as well as sepereate fridge - big help we thought. Local resaturants well priced and good value for money if you prefer eating out some nights. For casual dining we thougth Guys was good - decor was fun. Check out the lamp shades! For more formal dining we liked Mitchells.

Have fun if you go - we did!

This house was great for a small family. It's really comfortable and has a lovely open plan kitchen / sitting room with a big sofas and an old open fire....! The owner, Shane, went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed, particularly for the children. It made our holiday stress-free and very relaxing in this home away from home.
