Stunning New Villa with private pool, sea and country views.
This brand new villa is perfect for a larger family or couples wishing to holiday together. Its attractive design is spacious and is very well equipped and comfortably furnished ensuring a high standard of self catering accommodation. All rooms are bright and airy and the views from the first floor are simply wonderful. As one of the bedrooms is on the ground floor, this makes the villa suitable for the elderly or infirm although the house is not adapted for wheelchair users. To the outside, the swimming pool is surrounded by large terraces spacious enough for relaxing, sunbathing, BBQing and al fresco dining. There is a lower level which offers space for children to play separately or a point to simply read and relax.There is ample parking space for cars at the front of the house.Located in a quiet residential area, this villa is peaceful and tranquil and assures its guests of a relaxing holiday.

The village of Arroteia has several restaurants in close proximity which are welcoming and offer typical Portuguese cuisine. A must if you wish to sample to delights of the traditional Algarve at the local rates. We particularly recommend those located in the coastal bay at the side of the River Formosa where the views are simply spectacular and fish could not be fresher! The next nearest village is that of Moncarapacho which has a wider choice of restaurants, bars and shops around 5 minutes drive away. Golf is a key feature of the area with 6 excellent courses within a 20 minute drive. The Colina Verde course is only 3kms away and also offers tennis courts, sauna, jacuzzi, Turkish bath and gymnasium facilities.

TAVIRA TOWN
When staying in Arroteia a visit to Tavira is essential. This famous & beautiful town is located in the heart of the Eastern Algarve only 30km from Faro Airport and 30 km form the Spanish border. From the apartments, approximately 6km. As one of the region's oldest and most attractive areas, you cannot fail to be enthralled by its charm, character and tranquillity. Once known as the capital of the Algarve, you'll see an abundance of history - a Roman bridge links the 2 parts of the town across the River Gilao, its sides decorated with traditional old bars and restaurants. As well as viewing the many fine C18th building and churches (27 in total!), you can visit the old castle, several monuments and the typical fisherman's harbour leading to the River Formosa Natural Park. There is a wonderful daily market selling fresh home grown produce, and the beach of Tavira Island is accessible by small ferry boat and boast excellent facilities and a wonderful holiday atmosphere.
BEACHES
The Algarve is famous for its wonderful sandy shores, and there is an abundance of excellent clean beaches nearby. The closest is the beach of Barill which is located adjacent to the holiday village 'Pedras del Rei' around 5kms away. From the parking area, the beach can be reached on foot or by a small open-carriage train. There is a good range of facilities including several restaurants, WC and showers, and craft shops. We would also highly recommend a visit to Tavira Island reached by the ferry which leaves from the town harbour. There is a wide selection of shops and restaurants to choose from, as well shower and WC facilities, sunbeds and shades for hire. If exploring is something that you enjoy, the Eastern Algarve offers wonderful beaches around every 3kms dotted along the coastline which are all definitely worth a visit!
LEISURE AND LOCAL ACTIVITIES
As a village location there is not much to do in Arroteia itself, although the nearest town of Moncarapaho does offer more facilities along with the Colina Verde golf club which also has an excellent health and fitness centre. There are a good range of activities within the Tavira district including forest walks, bird watching along the Ria Formosa and horse riding. For those wishing to travel, towards the West there are some excellent shopping centres in Faro as well as the famous Water Parks and Zoo Marine, easily reached by car (around 45 minutes) or by day trip coach. Towards the East, the Spanish border is a mere 10kms away where the delights of another country can be sampled along with wine, Tapas and shopping. The Spanish town of Ayamonte can be reached by bus, train and ferry or by car, Seville is around 175km. Other interesting places to visit are the Castle at Castro Marim, Monte Gordo for the Casino and a little more night-life, Vila Real for shopping to name but a few
