Casares is a picture postcard village with a population of just three thousand and the view from the approach is definitely worth a photo. It is hard to believe that this enchanting, typical village is only nine miles from the coast and avoids the coach tour circuit. The 'Puerto de la Duquesa' is a beautiful quaint marina with over 300 berths and a variety of restaurants. Each side of the Marina are the superb blue flag beaches that cater for water sports in the summer. There is also a selection of nice 'chill out bars' with fantastic views over the marina. There is a 6 Star Hyatt Hotel under construction near to Casares del sol which further enhances the growing reputation that the area is getting on a daily basis. Located 15km from Estepona provides easy access to all parts of the Costa del Sol.
Golf:
It’s no co-incidence that the Costa del Sol is also known as the Costa del Golf, with some of the world’s premier championships having being held here over the years, including the 1997 Ryder Cup, the World Golf Championships in 2000, and the Volvo Masters in 2005.
