Quinta Do Licorne is a unique estate, lovingly refurbished and extended by the present owners. The owners’ house is situated within the grounds, however they offer complete privacy for their guests. The owners have a friendly dog which is enclosed within their own premises. Pets welcome on reques at Casa Maxine only.

It comprises of two properties, Casa Maxine (8 pax) and Casa Donna Lisa (7 pax). Both properties are about 400m apart and ideal for large groups of up to 15 people. Each has its own pool, bar and outdoor dinning facilities. Seperate electric gated entances. There is also a bar and restaurant close by (200m).

The quality accommodation is set in 5 acres of beautiful mature gardens and offers excellent holiday accommodation with the benefit of separate units for privacy and large outside areas and amenities, ideal for socializing. Beautiful kidney shaped swimming pool with sunbathing area. Covered heated Jacuzzi for the relaxing times - seats up to 6 people. This accommodation has a large sun lounge sitting/dining area (10m x 4m) with full length French-windows, TV, video and radio. Just off this lovely atmospheric room are two beautifully decorated bedrooms (1 x double and 1 x 2 singles) and Bathroom. You can sunbath in private on the upstairs terraces or relax by the kidney shaped swimming pool (8m x 4m – 1.2m deep) while utilizing the outside bar, unique Bar-B-Q or even the heated Jacuzzi (seats up to 6) - heating is £75 per week extra. Lounge room with large French windows and ceiling fans equipped with TV, DVD, CD player and video.

This accommodation is situated 15 km (30 minutes) east of Faro Airport, close to Junction 15 off the east/west auto-route (A22) which gives easy access to the local beaches (6 km), western Algarve and its world renown golf courses (30 minutes), within easy access is Spain and its golf courses (30 minutes) and within easy reach of the village of Moncarapacho (2km) with its many restaurants, coffee shops, museum and church.

Quinta Do Licorne is situated in the hamlet of Pereiro; close to the village of Moncarapacho, Olhao, and is only approximately 4 miles from the nearest beach. It is only 10 minutes to the nearest beaches and islands which are serviced by a regular ferry at the fishing village of Fuzeta, Pedra Del Rei and Barril Beach. Barril Beach has a quaint little train which takes you to miles of unspoilt beaches.

Quinta do Licorne's two villas are approx 4 miles from the coast which has wonderful secluded beaches all along the eastern Algarve, with many Islands to visit which can be reached by cheap and cheerful ferry boats and have regular services and also have inexpensive coffee shops and restaurants.

Golf

There are many golf courses within 30 mins drive to the east and west. Quinta do Licorne has easy access to the motorway. In Moncarapacho there is a par 3 golf course and health centre and Tavira has several other quality 18 hole courses. To the west there are many world renowned golf courses close to the sea and beach facilities.

Special interest holidays

This property offers private secluded sun bathing terraces which cannot be overlooked and easy access to country lanes for long walks or bicycle riding.

Quinta do Licorne is approximately 14 miles to Faro airport (30 minutes by car).

superb family accomodatio

We stayed here last may and had a fabulous time. Accomodation is spacious and flexable. Great for those not wanting to stay in a large resort but dont want to travel for hours to get to good resturants and beaches. Bernadette and garham could not have been more helpful and our girls loved the attension from bailey thier beautiful dog ( although the hosts would have happily kept him away if we wanted ) superb holiday totally relaxing a car is however essential
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, People with Disabilities, Romantic Getaway

Eastern Algarve Gem

We stumbled across this property on the internet and were intrigued not only by the excellent facilities, good price and availability, but also the previous review, where the party concerned were almost coy about the giving a recommendation....all in all in did smack a little off "too good to be true"....well I can tell you it is all true.

The on-location amenities are excellent with more out door seating, dinning and bar facilities than you can possibly use. The setting is beautiful with tranquillity guaranteed and the information, support and ideas provided by Graham & Bernadette are second to none.

Situated beside the Motorway you can easily get around and visit the rest of the Algarve, the local town of Moncarapacho is 5 minutes away all the essentials on hand, Olhao is about 20 minutes away with a great selection of restaurants and if you are adventurous you can cross the Spanish border in under 30 minutes.

We have had a great family holiday, all suitable chilled out and tanned, Graham even managed to improve the golf swing of a below average golfer...

A car is essential, but for everything else Graham & Bernadette will come up with a solution.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

we went on holiday last year to this villa and have booked again to go this year if you can find a better villa and owners than this you have been very very lucky the property is presented beautifully and with the help of the owners u have no need to spend your hard earned money on tourist guides they know all the best places to go and are always available to share there local knowledge. it is hard writing this review because we are hoping it is always empty when we want to go but when you find a gem like this other people should be able to share we can't wait to go back our daughter will be 3 this time and will benefit more from the relaxing pool.The local towns most only 5 mins in a car are very handy for all your needs with plenty of restaurants close by.We travelled around most of the algarve with this property been 5 mins from the motorway it is easy to explore all the algarve and only 20 mins to spain.Needless to say we loved our stay and would highly recommend to anyone.There where 6 adults and 1 child on our stay and the size of this proprty and the lay out meant everyone still got the space we all neeeded.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
