This Haussman style building was constructed in 1900. It is a very grand building with carved front doors, ornate wrought iron balconies, shuttered French windows and domed roofs. The apartment is on the third floor and is reached by a marble staircase or Edwardian lift. Opposite is the Jardin Alsace Lorraine, 3 blocks behind the world renowned Hotel Negresco and Musee d'Art et Histoire. Nice Ville station is 10 mins walk with Nice Airport 15/20 mins by taxi or direct bus service. The overall feeling of the apartment is very spacious with high ceilings and full length French doors. There are 3 bedrooms, separate well equipped kitchen with eating area, dining room and living room. The master bedroom has an en-suite and there is another bathroom with a laundry room and a separate wc. During the last few years the apartment has been newly refurbished and renovated both inside and outside. Within the immediate area there is 'The Buffa' indoor market, small shops and restaurants.

The apartment is located in central Nice within walking distance of the key tourist areas and attractions of Nice. Nice is a city by the sea and has been named the Queen of the Riviera. Apart from everything it has to offer as a seaside resort which is based round its azur blue bay, Nice is also the second largest cultural city of France. It boasts numerous museums, an Opera modelled on the Paris opera house, plenty of galleries and is a major host-city in the South of France for numerous concerts and events. You can be as active or relaxed as you like with great architecture and wonderful places to explore. There are the winding streets, shops and famous markets of the the old town to the newly finished Place Massena with the most recent French tram taking you to the designer and high street shops of the city. It is a great place from which to explore the area from Monte Carlo to the Provence and in the winter take a ski bus to the ski-slopes in 90 mins. Nice is never dull.

Notes: The apartment is our family holiday home and packed full of books, games, DVD's etc. which we are happy for the careful resident to use. There are bikes in the basement and roller skates for the promenade. There is beach equipment and a file which will help you make the most of your holiday including information on restaurants, shops, trips, tours and contacts for beauty salons, hairdressers, language tutors, ice skating instructors, sailing school, tennis etc etc.... I can help with a great many of your queries as I lived in Nice for a two year period. For children there is a wonderful city park opposite with a playground for the young. A telephone can be made available by prior arrangement as can daily cleaning. Parking is possible round the garden square or in one of the numerous car parks in the vicinity. Those with young children please note that there are balconies and the apartment is on the 3rd floor and for those who need wheelchair access there are 5 steps to the lift.

We spent a week in the apartment and had a lovely time. The owner was very good at responding to questions and the whole rental process was excellent. The apartment is in walking distance to everything you would want to see and do, and in an ideal situation for kids with the park across the road. The roller blades and bikes with the apartment were a great hit and my son didn’t break anything when trying roller blading for the first time!! The only thing I would say about situation is if you are wanting to be in the hustle and bustle of the city centre this is not where you want to be. But we did not, so it was just perfect for us. There is a choice of patisseries close by and after trying 3 we stuck with the last as it had the best croissant ( In our opinion). There is a excellent market just round the corner where you can get just about everything you would need to eat. The pasta stall was excellent and I can highly recommend the pesto, just fantastic. There is a supermarket just 100 paces from the market so for anything you could not get there you know the supermarket is not far away. The owner provided a huge amount of information in folders in the apartment which we all enjoyed looking through. We could not find any English speaking channels on the TV so the great supply of DVD was excellent to keep us all entertained. The apartment itself is large and airy fresh and clean. If you have kids I would take slippers for them, as there are only beautiful wooden floors of tiles, so to keep the downstairs neighbours happy we had a no shoe policy. A lovely apartment in a lovely city.

We had a fantastic experience when renting this large apartment. Right from the first enquiry to the final transaction, everything was so professionally done and in a very friendly and helpful manner. The apartment was spacious, clean and extremely well equipped. We had 3 couples and there was plenty of room and comfortable space for everyone. We walked to the Train Station in one direction and the beach in the other, while restaurants and shops were also within easy walking distance. This apartment truly enhanced out French experience with the brochures, maps and information inside the apartment helping us find real treasures. Thanks again .

This was our first trip to Nice & we will definitely be returning. We enjoyed every aspect of the holiday but especially the apartment.
This was everything we had hoped for & more than lived up to our expectations. Janette has provided a comfortable, stylish & very well equipped apartment with many extra facilities which made the stay even more enjoyable. We explored Nice, Cannes & Monaco but there were so many more places to visit - a good excuse to return. The trains & buses were good value & well organised so we found it easy to travel around. I have already recommended the apartment to colleagues & freinds. An excellant way to celebrate my birthday.
