Casa por do Sol (Sunset house) is a newly renovated villa in a quiet rural area. The second floor apartment is completely independent. It has 3 spacious bedrooms, and a comfortable living room with terrace and fully equipped kitchen with washing machine. Barbecue on the terrace where you can sit and enjoy a meal or just watch the beautiful sunset or wake up in the morning looking over the beautiful Sintra mountains. The villa is surrounded by garden with a 8 m by 6 m swimming pool. It is located only 5 minutes from the local villa where you find coffee shops restaurants and food stores and a local market on Saturday and Sunday. Only minutes away you have famous beaches like Praia das Maçãs, Praia Grande and Praia da Adraga. Nature lovers can enjoy long walks in the area. Adraga beach, only two kilometers away, was ranked as one of the ’20 perfect European beaches’ by the Sunday Times.

Famous golf courses also easy to get to. Located in the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. It borders the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Sintra and provides easy access to gorgeous walks in parks, tropical gardens, as well as visits to castles, convents, churches, and romantic villas.

Additional information about rental rates

  • (1) A non-refundable deposit of € 250 per week is required to confirm the booking. The balance to be paid at least 30 days before occupation. Confirmation of reservation will be made in writing on receipt and clearance of the deposit. Should the booking be done on a shorter notice, the full payment is required to confirm the booking.

    (2) A complete inventory of the villa equipment will be sent beforehand. Tenants will have the opportunity to notify the owner upon arrival about any equipment failure.

    (3) An extra security deposit of total amount € 200 is required to ensure the villa and equipment normal maintenance by the tenants. Should no damage be observed, it will fully transferred back at the latest one month after rental conclusion.

    (4) Changeover usually takes place on Saturdays at midday.

    (5) In July and August, priority will be given to guests reserving the villa for a minimum period of 2 weeks.

The apartment is excellent, really very nice and comfortable, proveded with all necessary. Everithing is new and in perfect conditions. A person comes to clean the apartment and change ones a week. A little swimming - pool isa available in the garden.
The properties are gently and nice and speak English perfectly.

We enjoyed a lovely two week holiday with our two young boys in October. We used the good sized pool every day and had a very relaxing sunny break. The apartment is well equipped and clean. The owner on hand if any queries but also happy to leave you in peace to enjoy your holiday. The nearby beaches are beauftiful and it's only 30 mins from Lisbon.

We would thoroughly recommend and will return as soon as the £ sorts itself out!!!

[Things that stood out directly]:

* High quality amenities (all in great condition) and catering for all the needs!
* A fridge loaded with a welcoming kit of bread, cheese, coffee and the rest of the stuff you realized you were craving for. Very nice.
* Interior decoration details that lend a personal feel and touch without ever compromising the professional aspects; a far cry from the possibly functional but oftentimes generic and unimaginative rentals out there.

[Things I noted while taking the tour after dropping the luggage]:

* Plenty of storage space for what's in your bags with an ample supply of shelves and hangers
* A lovely, spacious balcony effortlessly seating 4+ equipped with a grill and offering a jaw-dropping view of groves of apple-trees, rolling hills, fields of tall grass and mind-blowing sunsets
* Firm and comfortable beds
* The flight of stairs exclusively leading up to the 2nd story apartment and lending a sense of privacy
* Up-to-date and comprehensive visitor information such as maps, brochures and magazines
* Everything nice and clean - no curious stains offering conversation topics over dinner!

[Things I discovered during my stay]:

* Fantastic setting offering a great nature experience just a stones throw away!
* Lush and very pleasant garden
* Ready access to beaches, vistas, the surrrounding villages and local restaurants, with Cascais and Lisbon well within reach for a spontaneous visit by car.


[In summary]:

Great apartment with personal touches catering for all your needs set in a fantastic surrounding - highly recommended!

Holiday villa apartment, Corales.

Owners of this first-floor apartment thought about everything. There is a grill on the balcony, fruits on the table, and a map of attractive places in the area. Everything is brand-mark and new. The apartment is warm and dry, furnished in Scandinavian style. Prepared for 5 adults and 2 children. You can use swimming pool and playing field. We spent a fantastic week-end there and we will go there again with great pleasure. I recommend.
