Great location for golf, family, friends. Views to die for. Fab beaches. Numerous restaurants and bars. Pool. A quiet location yet less than 2kms away from supermarkets, shops, restaurants, bars, banks, doctor. Long sandy beaches 10 minutes drive away. •3 Bedrooms (1 double and 2 twins) •2 Bathrooms (bath, showers, bidet, toilets) •Living Room •Dining Room •Well equipped Kitchen •Downstairs wash room •Child safe Balconies •Air-con included •Private roof terrace with sun beds and shower •SKY TV with full package •Garden with patios and BBQ area •Communal swimming pool Although a car is recommended it is certainly not a must. Taxis are cheap, around £4 up the mountain to Mijas with typical Spanish restaurants and bars or go down the mountain to Benalmadena or Fuengirola. Around £45 to villa from Malaga airport. There are also regular buses at the entrance to the villas throughout the day and evening, 2 euros to get to Benalmadena marina which is a hive of activity.

Put Spain Buena Vista Malaga into Google Map; 2kms is Mijas which has kept its rustic charm. Donkeys walking along cobbled streets and fiestas. Benalmadena and Fuengirola a 5 minute drive away. Both have fantastic beaches. The Port at Benalmadena is a hive of activity that evolves throughout the evening and accommodates all tastes from early evening to the early hours of the morning. Many golf courses; add these to tennis clubs, equestrian courses, sailing clubs, diving and walking. Sea life centre plus water and amusement parks. For older children 15 minutes away is a fun park with go carts and theme park rides. There are also designer shopping outlets and an English speaking cinema with eating places like Pizza Hut. By car visit Malaga (20 mins), Marbella (15 mins), Puerto Banus (20 mins), Gibraltar (80 mins), Granada (100 mins) and Seville (120 mins). Ferry for short trip to Tangiers in Morocco is only 90 mins Gibraltar, great for duty-free shopping, see the famous monkeys

Notes: Elderly or infirm people are very welcome but the villa does have two flights of stairs in the house itself plus a spiral staircase up to the roof terrace. However, there is a balcony and patio area on the first level in the garden so you wouldn't need to venture higher to relax outside. All balconies have views of the sea, mountains and towns and allow for alfresco dining with patio tables and chairs. On a clear day you can also see the rock of Gibralta and the coast of Africa! Additionally, the roof top sun terrace is a great haven to relax whilst taking in the fabulous views or sunbathing. Full SKY TV Package available which includes Sky Sports, Movies, Music and Children's channels. BBQ in the garden. Iron, ironing board, clothes drying rack and pegs available. Smoking is not allowed indoors but is acceptable in the garden and balcony areas. Apologies, but damage due to smoking will result in the non return of the security deposit.

Excellent Property Review for 12 Balcones de Mijas

Having booked numerous holidays previously and always been satisfied, I can honestly say that on this occasion this property and the people involved exceeded our expectations.
The property was spotless. There were 4 adults and 3 children in my party and there was plenty of room.
The setting is magnificent, in fact one of my favourite parts of the holiday was the early evening drink on the balcony. Sometimes it was to decide difficult which of the balconies to use!
The pool looked fantastic, only my wife and oldest son were crazy enough to swim in it - we went 12-19 Feb 09!
To summarise, I recommend booking this property without a doubt.
Owner's Response: The pool is indeed lovely, obviously at any time of year! I just didn't realise there was another Mum as mad as me who gets dragged into water by their sons any time of the year! I too find that one of my favourite pass times is relaxing on a balcony with a glass of wine. I could look at the views and the garden for hours. In terms of space, we have a number of people who rent the villa for two families as the villa is quite spacious. We also have two cots available so two families of four with young children are easily accommodated. I love to get reviews and get pleasure knowing that other people enjoy the villa and area as much as we do.

Perfect getaway

We love this villa and location; it's perfect for a family with several kids or even two families. The villa itself is very well equipped and has everything that you could want or need. For the kids sky TV was a dream, as this allows you some down time in the evening before going out or staying in and admiring the views. The location is great central to all the beaches and attractions, all beaches can be reached within 5-25mins. However a car is recommended in order to fully explore what this area has to offer. We have been twice and are looking at going again. Whether you are looking for a long weekend away or two weeks this is the perfect place.

P.S. the curry house at the bottom of the hill is great.
Owner's Response: The villa is really good for two families to go, especially if their children are young as the number of beds plus 2 cots can easily accommodate two families of four.

The area all along this coast is great with such a variety of things to do to suit all types of people.

If you don't want to venture too far out then the curry house down the hill has indeed been highly recommended by a number of guests. There is also a bar / restaurant called Bao which does great food from bar snacks to light lunches to a full a la carte dinner. The decor is very modern.

Both these restaurants are next to a little cafe, a supermarket, a bank, an internet cafe and a newsagents.

Up the hill is the beautiful Spanish town of Mijas which has numerous Spanish restaurants and bars. We are yet to eat in a restaurant there where we didn't like the food, and we have eaten in many!

Excellent Villa

A fantastic holiday enjoyed at this super villa. The setting is ideal to enjoy a peaceful get away from it all holiday and the excellent accomodation offers everything you would need for total relaxtion with stunning views. The villa itself is spacious, tasetfully decorated with a small but beautifully landscaped garden and is maintained to a very high standard as is the pool area and surrounding grounds. We had such as wonderful time we have already booked to go again this year, what better recommendation than going to the same place 2 years running.

Costa del sol villa

When I first entered the villa I thought wow! It is so spacious and well put together. The garden is beautiful and has patio areas and a BBQ. There are lights in the garden as well so at night it is a fantastic place to sit for some late alfresco dining or just a drink. Breakfast on one of the balconies in the mornings is a delight with views to die for. If you do actually feel the need to venture out, which surprisingly you don't seem to want to, the small Spanish town of Mijas is just 2 kilometres away and a taxi was just 8 Euros. I have already booked to go again this year.
Owner's Response: What can I say, a girl of my own heart. The one thing we enjoy doing is relaxing outside and alfresco dining. The garden isn't huge but is lovely and there is always a spot to accomodate all tastes from sun worshippers to those who like shade.

As it is a house you can also happily put young children to bed and then sit on a balcony outside their room and relax. You can also go and sit in the garden or front balcony if that suits you better.

We have found that a lot of people, including ourselves, who are used to a holiday where eating out every night is the norm actually enjoy the whole experience of the villa so much that they stay in and cook!

Perfect Getaway

First visited this Villa last year with partner; have been back on a girls getaway; already have next visit booked!Its a superb, modern, clean and peaceful Villa set amongst stunning views. Beach is 20mins away as is all the nightlife; with some lovely small towns within easy drive too (a taste of real spanish life) else laze by the tranquility of the pool or private sun terrace. This Villa has it all - a definite must see!
Owner's Response: Once people go to the villa they always return. Apart from the lovely villa itself the location it is in accommodates all tastes and is enjoyed by couples, families and groups of friends be they all boys on a golf trip or all girls. In fact two people who used to rent regularly like the location so much they have now bought their own property there! Taxis are very cheap as well. We often get a taxi into Mijas or down to the marina at Benalmadena.
