'The Hawk Tower is a beautiful, ancient stone tower located 1.5 miles from the medieval town of Spoleto, and surrounded by a 12 acres private park. The villa sits on a hill overlooking a beautiful valley and facing Monte Luco, the first hermitage place of St. Francis of Assisi. Surrounded by an olive grove, the plush swimming pool with salty water is there for you to swim or to get lazy lying on a deck chair. The blue of the water melts perfectly with the ivory of the stone, the green of the olives and the violet of the lavender bush, permeating the air with its relaxing fragrance. On the top floor of the Tower there is a magnificent, furnished panoramic terrace, and the pergola by the pool offers you a chance to breakfast in the first rays of the sun or to dine under the starry sky.

Spoleto has a tradition in History and art which goes back to the ancient Roman civilization. You can spend your days visiting the castle and the many churches and exhibitions, getting lost in the narrow streets punctuated by artisan shops, discover the Umbrian tastes and flavours in the typical, cosy restaurants, and end the day attending one of the many cultural happenings typical of this town. And when you get tired of human artefacts, you can just walk for hours on end in the surrounding woods and mountains, immersing yourself into the beautiful nature or following the prints of San Francis along his retreat paths. Explore the many breathtaking towns within less than 30 minutes by car: Bevagna, Trevi, Spello, Montefalco and Foligno; or in one hour you can reach Assisi, Orvieto, Deruta, Perugia, Todi, Cascia and Norcia. Rome is 1h 20’ away by train, and Florence is just two hours by car.

This is a place out of a fairy story. The renovation is perfect and the tower a novelty that is very well equipped. The owner is beyond perfect in her help so that the holiday does not have any hiccups and Spoleto has a very friendly Italian population. It is within easy reach of Rome by train but it is better to drive around the area of Spoleto. The pool is wonderful and young and old enjoyed it tremendously especially on the hot days. The mornings are cool and the sun radiant and though the property is it is within an area of great walks. Our family of 9 people found it large enough to enjoy solitude as well as company. This is the Italy that we all think is "Amore".

We Didn't Want to Leave

The tower was a wonderful place to stay, very comfortable and roomy with good bedrooms and a generous number of bathrooms. The rooms are decorated very sympathetically and the three bathrooms are reassuringly moderrn. Its great to have the battlements - a good place just to imagine your a feudal lord. The little kitchen is also a nice touch, though we only manged one big meal on top. The lounge is comfortable and airy. The kitchen is large and homely - nice and cool during the day as well. Overall the tower is 21st century comfort but with a wonderful medieval charecter.

Outside there is lots of space and the best pool our family has ever had on holiday (and we like a our pools). Considering how close you are to Spoleto the views are really rural. There is a hum of noise from the road in the valley, but that is the modest downside of being able to walk in 20 minutes into the centre of medieval Spoleto. You are competely unaware of the nearby properties, but a 5 minute drive takes you to a decent supermarket. A beautiful place to stay where it is so tempting just to stay at home - however you must tear yourself away from the tower on some days as the area is so lovely and un-touristy.

On top of it all Bea is a trully generous host who really looks after her guests - the care she took to make sure our car window (badly cracked on the journey) got repaired was really kind. To rent a place from someone who was so helpful and very very nice really made our holiday wonderful.

This is as close to paradise as you will ever get.
A very spacious house, restored with an eye for detail and beauty. The rooms are bright and airy, brandnew immaculately clean bathrooms and a very cosy homely sittingroom with splendid view over the property. Large garden with nice outside terrace, swimmingpool with enough easy chairs for everybody. Beatrice is an angel, coming in every day to check if everything ok and trying to fulfill even the smallest wish. The countryside around is perfect for walking and you will find more charming villages then you can visit in a lifetime ;-) We hope to be back one day !

We had a wonderful stay in the lovely Torre del Falco. In need of r&r we settled seamlessly into its beautiful environment. The attention to detail, spectacular setting and proximity to the lovely Spoleto have made it a must to revisit. Thank you Beatrice.

The villa was perfect and exactly like on the pictures - wonderful renovated. We all had enough place (12 persons), the pool was great and really big. The garden is very pleasant and smells like rosmarin! We had a wonderfil time there. Thanks beatrice for your kindness.
