Refurbished townhouse with garden in historic centre of Sansepolcro
Boasting a prime location within the beautiful Tuscan medieval walled town of Sansepolcro, this three-storey townhouse combines 16th century character with all the modern comforts required for a relaxing self-catering holiday. Its position at the far end of the street ensures a peaceful night’s sleep, although it takes less than a minute to reach the hustle bustle of Via XX Settembre - Sansepolcro’s main boutique and bar lined corso. The recently refurbished accommodation includes 3 spacious en-suite bedrooms, beamed sitting room with open fireplace & newly fitted kitchen/dining room leading to a part paved garden with BBQ for al fresco dining/sunbathing. A great choice for a cultural/gastronomic getaway or family holiday (being just a 10-minute walk from Sansepolcro's impressive outdoor town pool with baby pool/chutes.) Uniquely for a Tuscan holiday, if you decide not to hire a car rest assured that all amenities are accessible on foot and public transport links are excellent.

Sansepolcro (described in The Independent newspaper as 'one of the loveliest small towns in Tuscany') is the largest town of the Tuscan Tiber Valley and the birthplace of early Renaissance artist Piero della Francesca, whose world-famous masterpiece 'The Resurrection' is housed in its impressive Museo Civico. A holiday here is a chance to experience the delights of authentic Tuscan living - waking to the sound of church bells, shopping for local produce at the weekly markets (held Tues/Sat + specialist food mkt on 3rd Sat of each month), enjoying coffee and pastries in the many cafes and joining the locals in their evening strolls along the corso to the stunning main Piazza and nearby cathedral. This is coupled with the most amazing Apennine mountain scenery all around and a pivotal position at the crossroads between Tuscany, Umbria & Le Marche, making the town a superb base from which to explore other gems such as Anghiari, Arezzo, Monterchi, Cortona, Poppi, Siena & Assisi.
