Sampford Courtenay, a Devon Heritage village famous for the Prayer Book rebellion is sited in the centre of Devon. A ten minute car journey from the A30 through glorious countryside and you will arrive at the village 'frozen in time'. Pass the village pub, climb Rectory Hill and half way up on your right you will find Culverhayes. Away from the well established tourist locations we are 4 miles from Dartmoor National Park and a half hour car journey from Exeter, a wonderful cathedral city. For aspiring gardeners there is Rosemoor and the Eden Project and for history lovers Torrington and numerous National Trust properties. Outdoor activities abound, horse riding, walking tours, fishing, golf and cycling all within a few miles. A short car ride will take you to either coast where you can sample the delights of Salcombe to the south and Woollacombe to the north.
