DONALD ROSS, the famous golf architect was born in this very attractive stone cottage which lies in the Dornoch conservation area. Fully equipped it sleeps 4 and is perfectly situated for golf, fishing, walking ,sandy beaches and restaurants. The cottage has 2 bedrooms and bathroom/shower upstairs and sitting room, dining room, cloakroom and kitchen downstairs. It is very well maintained and improved whilst retaining all the original features. There are numerous restaurants, hotels and shops in easy walking distance from the cottage where local produce can be purchased. Dornoch is an elegant town with a championship golf course, second 18 hole course and magnificent sandy beach. The town has many elegant local buildings including an impressive Cathedral and County Buildings. The town is surrounded by farmland,hills,spectacular scenery and an abundance of wildlife including red deer and Highland cattle. The nearby salt-water Nature Reserve is home to seals, ducks and numerous waders.
