The Garajonay National Park provides some of the best hiking through rain forests to be found anywhere in Europe. Your apartment is only 5 mins. walk from San Sebastian main Plaza. This capital town has a excellent selection of restaurants and tapas bars offering good low price local food with friendly service. There are many shops and boutiques along the two main streets of this small town. For historians, the town park's Torre del Conde museum and Cristopher Columbus's house are among places of particular interest. The town has two beaches. Outdoor swimming pool with tennis, basketball and sauna is offered by Club Nautica. Car hire is very reasonable and a drive around La Gomera is stunning ! Other activities include fishing, diving, snorkelling, cycling and sailing out of San Sebastian.

Notes to the rental rates

  • EXTRA CHARGE - The price of Euro 400,-- /week is based on two adults. We charge Euro 60,-- /week, per extra adult. Children under 12 years Euro 30,--/week.
    COLLECTION - The apartment is privately owned by us and we live with our young family here on the Island of La Gomera. We can therefore offer you a personal service, not only on the booking stage, but also when you arrive in San Sebastian. We will meet you at the ferry terminal, drive you with your luggage and settle you into your accommodation. We are also there if you need us for any queries during your stay.
    DEPOSIT - We accept a copy of your flight details as a deposit and booking confirmation. We kindly ask you to be prepared to pay for the apartment when you move in.
    LAUNDRY - We provide bed linen and towels (not for the beach and swimming pool). This will be changed on a weekly basis.
    WELCOME PACK - Food and drinks await you in the fridge when you arrive.

  • The bathroom leads off from the hallway. It is spacious, bright and clean. Full ceramics on walls and floor with rugs for comfort. The bathroom fittings are Roca white ceramic. There is a mirror with light, shelf and socket. Plenty of storage space for towels, gels,etc. A hair drier is also provided !!!

  • The main bedroom is housed within the apartment and leads off from the hallway. Two further bedrooms are situated on the upper terrace and are accessed via a wooden staircase from the lower terrace. All bedrooms share the main bathroom inside the apartment. The apartment is totally self contained with access to the upper terrace only possible via the lower terrace. The two additional bedrooms are therefore secure and ideal for children able to use a staircase. All bedrooms have wardrobes, bedside tables (with lamps for reading) and mirror. The upper bedrooms each have a chair. The main bedroom also has a chest of drawers. Both lower and upper terraces offer similar stunning views of the town, harbour, park, marina and the many palm trees scattered over the allotment land between the apartment and the beach.

Notes:

This apartment is in very good condition. The terrace has been recently re-tiled and painted, the kitchen is modern and clean and the apartment has undergone decoration in recent months. All the rooms are serviced with opening windows making them bright and airy. Large cooling fans are fitted to all the ceilings to provide extra comfort. The lounge is large with plenty of seating and great views through the patio doors, across the terrace and beyond. A communal guitar hangs on the wall for the musicians! Children are very welcomed by us and the locals of La Gomera ! Discount is offered for children under 12 years. Access to Calvario is via steps up the side of the building thus making it difficult for those not comfortable with stairs - sorry! We cannot accept pets of any sort. Smoking is not permitted in the apartment. However, ashtrays are provided for the terraces. Thank you.

WATER ACTIVITIES

SAILING-We have access to a number of sailing boats (cruiser, racing) moored here in San Sebastian Marina. Subject to availability of boats and trained skippers it is possible to arrange sailing experience trips. SPORT FISHING-In season, sport fishing boats provide some of the best days out with deep water fishing nearby. SNORKELING/DIVING-'Diveart' teaches snorkelling and sub-aqua diving in the local waters around the bay of San Sebastian. WHALE/DOLPHIN WATCHING-Just a short ferry ride from San Sebastian to Vueltas, on the west side of La Gomera, excursions are available on 'Tina'. CLUB NAUTICA-A beautiful setting for swimming, sauna, tennis, basketball, or just a relax at the pool or in the Restaurant of this very sheltered private club (nominal fee). BEACHES-San Sebastian has two beaches. One is provided in the shelter of the harbour and marina. The other is near Club Nautica and although more exposed to the open sea, offers a good, quiet beach with views across to Tenerife.

MOUNTAIN ACTIVITIES

WALKING-The Garajonay National Park provides some of the best hiking through rain forest anywhere in Europe. Whether guided walks or self organised, we can assist with your needs. CYCLING-Normal mountain bikes are available for hire at the marina office in San Sebastian. There are also Highspec mountain bikes available for guided tours (with or without bus support!) or self organised treks. Should you have interest in any of the above mentioned activities we advise that you plan ahead and inform us soonest.

AMENITIES

Please note that the local modern 'Hypertrebol' Supermarket is within 2 mins. walk of your apartment. The market is also located in this immediate area offering local produce and on Wednesdays and Saturdays hand crafted wares. Beach, restaurants and main Plaza are all within 5 mins. walk.
