Montauroux holiday apartment

I was looking for a 3 bedroom property that would also give some space for us all. I hired Olive Grove as it seemed to fit the bill perfectly. The group was myself, my husband, our 2 year old, 4 month old and my Mother.
Olive Grove is ideal for this type of holiday.

Location is fabulous - Fayence is 10 mins away, Grasse 30 mins and the actual village of Montaureaux less than 5 mins. There are plenty of supermarkets within 5 mins of the property including one that opens on Sundays.

The owner lives onsite with her family but they were very unobtrusive.

The property:
The larger apartment consisted of a lounge, kitchen/dining area, bathroom with shower, a small bedroom with a bunk bed set up and a large double bedroom.
The second appartment had a lounge, kitchen, dining area, bathroom with bath and double bedroom.

The decoration is a little out of date however the place was clean and welcoming. With a young toddler running around my priorities were with safety and all seemed fine.One point - The air con unit is in the lounge which does reach the bedrooms but takes a little longer than if there were units in each bedroom as well.

The biggest selling point must be the fabulous pool. It is a really decent size, cleaned regularly. There are steps and a diving board at the deep end and steps within the pool the other side. The pool doesn't really have a shallow end but fine for basic swimmers or children with arm bands. The pool is also alarmed to alert you should someone fall in, which gives great peace of mind.

The property also has an outdoor bar b que and on the terrace is a gazebo with dining table and chairs.

The area itself is expensive as you would expect but if you eat in and go to the bigger supermarkets you can get some great fresh food.
The charcuterie in the village is run by a guy who speaks great english and who will always advise on how to cook the meat.

Get the boat from St Raphael to St Tropez - but be warned it is expensive! however much more preferable than queueing for hours on the one road in and one road out!

Fayence is lovely to stroll around and for a more touristy town head over to Grasse.

Would definately go back to the property and the area.
