It is perfect for families. The luxury villa is in a small condominium of 6 privately owned villas, each with their own pool and garden. Accommodation consists of 1 king and 1 twin bedroom upstairs, both with en-suite bathrooms and patio doors to balcony overloking the pool. A further twin bedroom is on the ground floor with adjacent bathroom. The large open-plan living/dining area is tastefully furnished with feature fireplace, digital/sat TV, DVD and CD player. Dining table seats 8. Two patio doors open onto south facing sun terrace and covered outdoor dining area with bbq, set in secluded walled garden with pool . The large open plan kitchen with island is fully fitted with fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher,washing machine etc. Private car port for parking

Additional information about rental rates

  • Rental costs include all linens and towels ( except beach towels). There is full weekly clean and linen change . A deposit of 25% is required to secure booking with the full balance at least 8 weeks before departure. A security cheque deposit of £200 is required with final payment. This is not cashed and returned or destroyed within 1 week of departure, following inspection by management company. Full details are enclosed with booking forms.
    Extra person over 2 years is an extra £70 per week on a z bed or sofa bed, under 2 years £35 inc a cot.
    Sunday arrivals are an additional £40 (off season only)
    Nov to Mar rates inc £60 towards ammenities. Additional usage is charged at the local rate.

Family friendly: This villa was purchased for family use, so is ideal for children. The garden is totally safe and enclosed. All windows are shuttered. There is a selection of beach and pool toys, DVDs and games. Only minutes walk from the beach and resort centre, it is an ideal location

Plenty to see and do: Our kids adore Slide and Splash, near Lagoa and Zoo Marine. The dolphin safari and trips through the caves at Lagos is another favourite. Pack up a picnic and spend days exploring the beautiful beaches west of Luz towards the Atlantic coast. You can learn to surf or body board. There is an abundance of watersports for all ages on the beach at Luz. For the grown-ups there is the world class golf, the historic fortress at Cape St Vincent or the beautiful cobbled streets of Lagos. Algarve Shopping at Guia is a shoppers paradise. Chill out at the Elemis Spa in the Estrela da Luz complex There is a file in the villa with all the things that we and our guests have found to do, with maps and helpful tips included

Eating Out: There are some gorgeous restaurants in Luz and even more in nearby Lagos. You really are spoiled for choice. There is a file of recommended restaurants in the villa that we have discovered. If you fancy something casual there is a list of takeaways or why not barbeque fresh fish from the fish market at Lagos on the BBQ

Wir mieten seit vielen Jahren Ferienhäuser in unterschiedlichen europäischen Ländern. Vila Aurora gehört mit Sicherheit zu den schönsten und gemütlichsten Häusern. Ein charmantes, persönliches Ambiente mit trotzdem Raum auch für den Mieter, der nur kurze Zeit seinen Urlaub dort verbringt. Trotz Strand und Ortsnähe Ruhe pur. Nur Esel, Hund, Hahn und Vögel waren zu hören. Wir haben die private Atmosphäre des "ummauerten" Gartens mit seinen schönen mediterranen Pflanzen genauso genossen, wie den Blick vom Balkon auf die abendliche Stadt und den Sternenhimmel.
Wir kommen wieder!

We have spent several holidays in Luz over the last 10 years and this was the best property we have stayed in. The villa is beautifully decorated, the rooms a good size, endless hot water, a well equiped kitchen and great pool and garden. The location, being so close to the beach and restaurants, was fantastic, so wonderful not to have to drive in the evenings, and it was so quiet as well. The owners were a delight to deal with and we really appreciated their call the day after we arrived to ensure that everything was ok .We would highly recommend it to all.

What a location

This villa certainly ticks all the boxes. It is so difficult to find somewhere that offers privacy, peace and quiet alongside such close access to beach, restaurants and shops. And to do so in such beautiful surroundings also. The villa is fitted out perfectly and the bedrooms and bathrooms are generous in size. The pool is ideal for the little ones to cool down in those hot lazy days. I cannot compliment this villa more. It's perfect.

Family holiday in Portugal

It was our first visit to Portugal, we were pleasantly surprised with Luz and the villa which was ideal for 2 couples with 2 young ones. Plenty of space and well equipped.

Pool, garden and bbq at the villa are fantastic. The beach is clean, with lots of water sports. Great for young families.

A car is not needed to get around Luz everything is within walking distance however Logos is worth visiting its about a 10 minute car drive with big supermarkets, a lovely marina and a long sandy beach with great beach bars.

Burgau which is a 10-15 minute drive in the opposite direction has a great beach with a beach restaurant/ bar. Follow an off road track out of Burgau which will take you to a fantastic beach restaurant/bar called the blue wave, great seafood platter and lovely people.

We searched for a long time and looked at a lot of villas before we chose this one, and it most certainly met all the criteria. Beautifully situated and decorated, we were highly delighted with all aspects.

The immediate area was lovely, with many good places to eat, and the wider area, surrounding villages and Lagos are well worth the visit if you can tear yourself away from the pool, our young grandson being a case in point! There were three generations in our family group and it was perfect for all of us.

Directions to the villa were good - we found it without too much difficulty (even with a bad navigator!).

All in all, certainly worth a return visit, and I would not hesitiate to recommend this to friends and family.
