This is a small, quiet holiday cottage complex, on the outskirts of the village of Chideock, set in a hollow by Winniford Stream and surrounded by rolling farmland. A mile inland off the main road, it is quiet and peaceful but also a convenient spot from which to explore the Jurassic Coast, including the nearby town of Lyme Regis and other places of interest in Dorset, Devon and Somerset. The nearest beach is two miles away, with several other beaches within easy reach by car. There are many miles of delightful footpaths to explore, including the fine coastal path with its breathtaking views. The spacious and comfortable cottages are located in middle of countryside. There is a large, attractive garden, which is great for relaxing or playing in at any time of day. The garden also houses a games room, which is equipped for all ages from toddler to adult. There is ample parking in the drive. Japanese food is available by request. 32' TV with Free-Sat and DVD players are at each cottages.

Maple cottage is a comfortable and spacious unit in a converted stone barn at Hell Barn Cottages, in North Chideock, Dorset. Downstairs there is an entrance hall leading to a kitchen/lounge/dining room with terrestrial television. The kitchen area is small, but fully equipped. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one very large with a double bed and one small with two single beds, in total sleeping 4 plus a cot. There is also a bathroom with toilet, basin, bath and shower. The cottage is clean and simply but comfortably furnished, to the Tourist Board's 3 star standards. Heating is included in the rental. 32' TV with Free-Sat and DVD players are at each cottages.

Our cottages are situated in the middle of peaceful, rolling countryside, but are only a mile off the main road. There is a good choice of beaches and miles of coastal walks to explore. The local villages have traditional pubs with good food. The nearby town of Bridport has a lively market twice a week and plenty of shops and cafe/restaurants. There are many interesting places to visit: including Abbotsbury, Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Weymouth and Dorchester. Alternatively you can just relax in our attractive garden and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Situated just off the beaten track in a lovely English village. A great location whether for a relaxing winter break or a busy British summer.Ideal for an adults break with great walks, historic attractions and idilic country pubs and also a lovely spot for families and kids, with the seaside nearby, places to explore, fun attractions to keeps the kids busy throughout the summer and amazing long walks to take to tire the kids out so mum and dad can relax in the evening. The owners Shige and Diane are both very approachable and friendly. Thanks so much for the use of your facilities for what was a much neede break.
Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. We aim to be low key, simple, but comfortable. Naturally very peaceful location without any traffic, yet it is eash access to civilisation. You can escape to eldless country foot path from the door step. Walking, Mountain biking, sailing at Lyme Bay or simply relaxing at our garden. We are very pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay.
