This is a small, quiet holiday cottage complex, on the outskirts of the village of Chideock, set in a hollow by Winniford Stream and surrounded by rolling farmland. A mile inland off the main road, it is quiet and peaceful but also a convenient spot from which to explore the Jurassic Coast, including the nearby town of Lyme Regis and other places of interest in Dorset, Devon and Somerset. The nearest beach is two miles away, with several other beaches within easy reach by car. There are many miles of delightful footpaths to explore, including the fine coastal path with its breathtaking views. The spacious and comfortable cottages are located in middle of countryside. There is a large, attractive garden, which is great for relaxing or playing in at any time of day. The garden also houses a games room, which is equipped for all ages from toddler to adult. There is ample parking in the drive. Japanese food is available by request. 32' TV with Free-Sat and DVD players are at each cottages.

Rosemary cottage is a comfortable and spacious unit in a converted stone barn at Hell Barn Cottages, in North Chideock, Dorset. It has two upstairs bedrooms, one with double bed and one with twin beds, sleeping 4 plus a cot. Downstairs there is a lounge/dining room with terrestrial television, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a bathroom with toilet, basin, bath and shower. The cottage is clean and simply but comfortably furnished, to the Tourist Board's 3 star standards. Heating and bedding are included in the rental. 32' TV with Free-Sat and DVD players are at each cottages.

Our cottages are situated in the middle of peaceful, rolling countryside, but are only a mile off the main road. There is a good choice of beaches and miles of coastal walks to explore. The local villages have traditional pubs with good food. The nearby town of Bridport has a lively market twice a week and plenty of shops and cafe/restaurants. There are many interesting places to visit: including Abbotsbury, Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Weymouth and Dorchester. Alternatively you can just relax in our attractive garden and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Great relaxing home from home

We had a great stay at Rosemary Cottage - the cottage is well appointed with lots of space and equipped with everything you need. The owner was very friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. The garden and games room is also great, particularly if you've got children. The location means that Lyme Regis, the Jurassic Coast and Dorchester are all in easy reach. We're definitely hoping to go back soon!
