A luxurious 3 bedroom self catering home right on adventures doorstep
Michaeleigh has three double bedrooms, furnished to a high standard, to include orthopaedic beds. We have two bathrooms; one is an en-suite with both bath and shower. The kitchen, dining and lounge are open-plan, which is a great space to get together to watch TV, play games or discuss the day over a glass of wine. We have furnished and decorated our home to a standard that we would wish to live in. The kitchen is finished beautifully with an integrated oven and hob, a full size fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, coffee machine and all the cutlery and crockery you might need to make any type of feast you wish. The landscaped garden is sheltered from wind with built in bbq, perfect for al-fresco dining on a hot day, or you can just sit back and relax with a cold beverage listening to the sounds of the water feature – it is a heavenly place to unwind after a long day of sightseeing, golfing or shopping (or all three).

Further details for the house in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa
Michaeleigh is perfectly situated for any type of holiday. Directly across the road is the famous Sunrise Beach, which is safe for swimming and surfing, with wide white sandy beaches and gorgeous panoramic mountain views. Located only minutes away (3km) from Kalk Bay’s fantastic shops and restaurants, where you can completely lose yourself for hours amongst antiques, interesting artefacts or souvenirs lovingly handcrafted by the local people. If you prefer you can sit back and enjoy a quiet coffee or cold drink overlooking the beautiful False Bay. This region is historically quite old, as the harbour at Simons Town was developed by the British; into a formidable naval base in the 19th century. The area basically includes the whole of False Bay, which stretches from Gordon's Bay and Strand, all the way to the charming fishing villages of Muizenberg, with Cape Point Nature reserve, only a short drive away; where the two oceans meet and the southern most tip of Africa.
The most impressive feature of False Bay is its lovely beaches, where the water is between 5 and 7ºC warmer than on the Atlantic Seaboard side. Simons Town boasts lovely beaches as well as the penguin sanctuary at Boulders Beach. First having become known as a holiday destination, the area has retained much of this laid-back charm. We are also well positioned for whale watching enthusiasts; the most common whales around Cape Town are southern rights. Best spotted between and August to November. Along the False Bay seaboard, look out for whale signboards, indicating good places for sightings. Boyes Drive, running along the mountainside behind Muizenberg and Kalk Bay, provides an outstanding vantage point; remember to have binoculars handy when out driving. Also, sticking close to the shore along Main Road, the stretch between Fish Hoek and Simon's Town is recommended.
If you enjoy wine tasting you are in exactly the right place; Constantia Valley Wine Route is very close by, or if you have time, drive slightly further a field and take a day out to visit Stellenbosch, Franschhoek or Paarl with the many fantastic wineries and vineyards where you can taste some of the best wines and even enjoy a picnic lunch in the vineyards. Here you will enjoy some of the most breathtaking mountain views and peaceful scenery. Otherwise, if shopping or high adventure are more your thing then or you can drive to Cape Town (30 min) and explore the beautiful V&A Waterfront with it's fantastic array of shops, markets and many activities on offer, such as sunset cruises, trips to Seal Island, helicopter flights, Shark Cage diving, and many more. After you have built up an appetite you can choose from a fantastic array of restaurants that offer some of the finest cuisine in the Cape.
Other Activities Wine Tasting, Shopping, Dining, Craft Markets, Nature Reserves
