Wonderful gite for two

Review Submitted: September 5, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
If you are looking for a a small gite in a beautiful setting with exclusive use of a swimming pool and very attentive but unobtrusive hosts then this is the property for you.Situated 10 mins walk from the village of Cahuzac in the Tarn region of SW France this pristine clean and well provisioned cottage has eveything you need for a relaxing break. Set amongst sunflower fields, vinyards and rolling hills the area has the added value of historic towns and pretty villages. Cahuzac itself has several food shops, a tabac/bar, a small lunchtime restaurant and a more upmarket restaurant. We played golf in Albi, visited the cathederal and The Toulouse-Lautrec museum. Shopped in Gaillac and visited the very attractive hilltop town of Cordes. The market in St Antonin on a Sunday is also worth a look. We will certainly be back. Thank you Ken and Marlene for a wonderful stay.

We both felt that this was our best holiday yet. The accommodation is of a very high standard matched by Marlene and Ken's hospitably. Although the gite is VERY private and VERY quiet, it is only 5 minutes walk from the village with all the usaul shops. Wonderful sites like Najac, Cordes, Albi are all within easy driving distance. With no light pollution, lying on the roof of the poolhouse affords an indescribable view of the stars! Highly recommended for a couple wanting to have a relaxing holiday.

Clos Geor, August 2008

Review Submitted: September 8, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2008
We had a fantastic week's holiday at Clos Géor. The swimming pool is fantastic as is the sun roof terrace. The gite is remodelled and well furbished. It is in a beautiful and peaceful setting, ideal for couple wanting to escape life.

The local area is very good for wine (mainly Syrah): The owners, Ken and Marlene are very knowledgeable of the local area.

I would defintely recommend this gite for a couple.
