A villa for all seasons to enjoy the tranquillity of Tuscany. Rural location set in its own protected valley with private drive and yet only 8 minute drive from the famous walled medieval city of San Gimignano. 5 spacious and luxurious self catering cottages and apartments appointed to the highest standard and comfort. Each sleeps between 2 and 4 people. Villa Pallero is an ancient converted 'borga' or farmhouse and has magnificent internal features. Cottages and apartments feature open log fires, private terraces and loggias. Set in beautiful colourful gardens with sweeping lawns, Pallero is very peaceful and relaxing at any time of the year. Facilities include a magnificent Roman Bath house style indoor heated pool opening up to the gardens, Fitness Suite, Solarium and Sauna. The villa is perfectly located for day trips to nearby Florence, Siena, Pisa and the nearest beaches are under an hour. Choose from activities such as riding, walking or cycling. Pets welcome.

Botticelli is a delightful apartment all on one level on the ground floor. You enter into a well equipped kitchen/dining room and proceed into a sitting room that has retained many of the original farmhouse character. There is a sofa bed here and beyond a double/twin bedroom with its own modern ensuite shower room. Outside there is a private terrace with covered loggia to enjoy the spectacular views from.

Wir hatten das Glück, 11 Tage in der Villa Pallero verbringen zu dürfen.Es war nicht unser erster Aufenthalt in der Toskana, aber mit Abstand der schönste! Die Villa liegt wunderschön auf einem Hügel mit Blick über die Hügellandschaft auf das sehr malerische Anwesen auf der anderen Hügelseite. Wir fanden es herrlich, auf der Terrasse den Abend zu genießen, die Landschaft zu bewundern und den Schafen zuzusehen. Die heiße Zeit über Mittag verbrachten wir meist an den zauberhaften Sitz-und Liegeplätzen im Garten und im Pool, um dann zu den vielfältigen Ausflugszielen in der Umgebung aufzubrechen. Ganz besonders haben wir die großzügige Ausstattung und die liebevolle Einrichtung im Appartement genossen. Es fehlt wirklich nichts!
Unser besonderer Dank gilt David, der dafür gesorgt hat, dass wir uns rundum wohl fühlten und uns mit wertvollenTips für gute Restaurants, Ausflugsziele, Weinläden etc. versorgte. So macht Toskana richtig Spaß! Wir vermissen David und die Villa Pallero und werden sicher wiederkommen!

Galileo villa June 2009

My wife and I stayed at Galileo for one week in June 2009.
This was our first visit to Tuscany and also our first visit to Italy.
We had a fantastic time.
The booking was made via the owners in the UK. All questions were dealt with very promptly. The booking was simple and fuss free. A detailed instruction sheet of how to get there was provided, however I did purchase a Italian map for my Sat Nav ..... I would really recommend using a sat nav when hiring a car. However the roads were very good and quiet no real problem when driving ...only problem was finding somewhere to park without getting a ticket.
The villa was excellent, high quality throughout. A truely romantic tuscan experience in an absolutely stunning location.
Beautiful terraced gardens to sit in and relax.
There is a small Gym, an excellent Sauna, and a pool. The pool was ideal for cooling off.
The onsite manager, David (expat Brit). Was very friendly and extremely helpful with tips on everything from identifing places to visits, restaurents to try, places to park, and where to find the best ice cream and hot chocolate.
The villa is ideally situated in fantastic countryside and close to some interesting ancient towns. About 1.5 hours easy drive from Pisa airport.
We day tripped to Florence via the Train from nearby Pongibosi which was very simple and a lot less stressful than driving.


I will highly recommend this holiday villa and will stay there again sometime in the future.

Excellent accomodation and lovely tranquil spot

We have just returned from 9 very relaxing days at Villa Pallero.We stayed in Gallileo.I was a bit worried about what it would be like as the pictures on holiday rentals were not brilliant but it was everything we hoped for.The flat is seperate from the main house and has its own loggia which has beautiful views out over the valley and lake and surronding hills,It was very well equipped.The lake has otters in it in the summer and we spent several evenings watching them(quite a climb back up the hill!)We usually eat out quite a lot on holidays but it was such a lovely spot that we spent most evenings in,We did find a nice restaurant in Castel San Gimigianno called the 3 arches which did lovely food,
The pool is small but you can just about swim round it with 2 of you in it and it has a nice jacuzzi area each side at the end.We didnt try the sauna as the weather was so hot but I did use the small gym ( a paltry attempt to work of all the pasta!)
We visited several nearby towns and found going for breakfast worked well as we got there before the coach trips!
All in all a great place to stay if you like peace and quiet! Not a place for young children,Sally
