There are a variety of The Murcia coast is known as the Costa Calida (the Warm Coast). Murcia is as yet undiscovered by most UK holidaymakers, so it offers a charm not found in most of the Costa’s. Our home is located in a small village which has a selection of restaurants and bars, all close to the Palm lined sea front Promenade, its about 500 meters, from the house, and stretches the whole length of the Village, Which is surrounded by farmland producing mostly oranges and lemons. There are many open air markets in the area where you can purchase local produce, . Close access to the motorway (one & a half miles) makes local towns and cities, quickly available. Shops everything stops for La Siesta around here, which is generally 1.30ish – 4pm. However, if you go into Cartegena (15 minutes drive), shops like Calfour stay open from 9.30am until approximately 9pm. Another shop worth a visit is El Corte Ingles in Cartegena, Spanish equivalent to Debenhams.
