Nestled in the tranquil and picturesque countryside of the Charollaise region, Baron is deep in the heart of Burgundy which is renowned for its fine food and wine. Uncluttered by tourists and close to historic towns such as Cluny, Charolle and la Clayette, there is plenty to see and do. Swimming, riding, Chateaus, fishing, adventure and theme parks are all within easy reach. The house is traditionally built with lovely views. The interior is newly decorated with new beds, and with 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, the house can easily accommodate two families. The comfortable living room has a TV, DVD/CD & VCR. The fully equipped kitchen includes dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer and washing machine. The garden has a veranda + BBQ and dining furniture for ‘al fresco’ entertaining. There is also a games room with table tennis, plus badminton etc. for the energetic.

We stayed here with 3 children aged 11 to 15 for a week in August with variable weather. The property was spacious, clean and well equiped. The covered area at the rear of the property useful when either hot or raining. Situated in a very peaceful location, but only 5 miles from the nearest town and supermarket. Views from the property and in the surrounding area were superb. Our 15 year old appreciated the window shutters as it enabled him to sleep in without knowing it had been light for hours (a break from his early morning paper round). Plenty of interesting places to visit or activities to go and do, or just enjoy the countryside - more cattle than people in the area was our experience. Local restaurants serve plenty of the local beef too. Good for cycling too. Would have liked to stay for 2 weeks. We've been to a variety of places in France and this was one of the best.
